USB Rechargeable Neck Book Light for Reading in Bed, 4 LED Bulbs 4 Adjustable Brightness, Hands Free for Night Jogging or Mending Lamp (Blue)

Over the years, I’ve had several little book lights for reading in bed. One clipped to the book with a big plastic paper clip-like clip that you put over the pages. Another had a pressure clip like a binder clip. Both had to be plugged in to an outlet with an adapter and cord to the unit. Neither was satisfactory; I used them for a few nights, then left them in a drawer. Not only did they trail power cords, but to turn the page, you had to unclip it, turn the page, then reclip it. And it made the book awkward, heavy, and off-balance. I was excited when I saw this item, however, for several reasons. One, it doesn’t need a power cord. Two, it doesn’t clip to the book. Three, it’s light and hangs around your neck, making it useful for a lot more than just reading books, although it’s wonderful for reading. Unpacking the unit from its little box, you find two items: the unit itself and a short USB charging cable. See the picture. The unit is capable of twisting itself down into quite a small little space. That illustrates how flexible this lightweight little item is. You hang it around your neck and point the lights wherever you need the light. Then you don’t need to fuss with it any more. It is very handy. It is powered by a healthy USB-rechargeable battery. Since its primary use—at my house anyway—is to read in bed before going to sleep, it’s super-easy to just plug it in when I’m ready to sleep, and it’s ready to go the next time I need it. They say it’ll run for 8 hours on a charge and will recharge in 2 hours. I haven’t tested that yet. Is it comfortable to wear? Yes. I use it to read before sleeping two or three nights a week. It’s just comfy and easy. It occurs to me, however, that its comfort for reading in bed will depend on how you use your pillows. It’s possible that the thicker housing of the battery at the back of the neck could be uncomfortable if the lower back of your neck lies flush against the pillow. Mine doesn’t, so it’s like the thing wasn’t even there except for the light it puts out. It’s not just a simple light, either. Each of the two heads contains two bulbs. There’s a tight-focused spot beam and a wide-focus flood light bulb in each head. Each head has a little button switch. One push turns on one bulb. Two pushes turns on the other bulb. The third push turns on both bulbs at once. The fourth push turns both bulbs off. You can see the little push button switch in one of the pictures. There is a switch in each of the two heads, so you need to turn each one on and off separately, which can seem a bit odd at first. But it gives you total control of where your light goes. It can be used for all sorts of applications where you need good light to do something close in. I don’t knit, crochet, or fix cars, but I do take pictures of books that I’m going to sell here on Amazon and elsewhere. I just sit at my desk and shoot simple pictures, which has always left something to be desired because the lighting was not good. Now I wear my little blue neck light and direct the light onto the item being photographed. It’s a great improvement. If I needed to wander around the house at night, I’d put it on and would be able to go anywhere comfortably. I haven’t needed that yet. I suspect that as time goes by, I will find more and more uses for this handy little gadget.

I’m a night shift worker, so on the three and a half nights of the week that I’m off, I stay up all night and read. I read 100+ books a week and I’m finally able to get back into reading and finishing a 300 page book a night. My night lamp bugs my wife and our two pugs so I need a light that was bright enough to not hurt my eyes but also not to bug the family. These are AWESOME. The three light options are great. Both lights have their own button to choose the brightness perfect for you. They’re light on my shoulder and sit firmly to where it feels as though they aren’t going to constantly slip off or fall off if I readjust. I’m not quite sure how long they last after being fully charged. Tonight, I’ve used them for about six hours and they’re still going strong. They’re very easy to figure out straight out of the box, just click the button to go through the light strength and then they turn off. I really do like that I can have two different light brightness that works for me. Since I sleep on the right side of the bed, my right light can be brighter and my left light can be lighter or even off so it doesn’t disturb the crew. These really have been a game changer! You must buy! I bought the green ones and they’re true to color!

Everyone in our large camping group were jealous of my lights. We have always all worn headlamps, but this trip I had these. I could speak to people without having to blind them because of my head lamp. These are very very flexible, you can have one light on at a time, there are 3 different strengths of light. The charging is quick and the light lasts for a great length of time, even if using for several hours a night I can get around three evenings worth before needing to charge. Great lights, one friend at camp absolutely loved them I gave them to her. I now need to order myself another pair! Great helpful and dependable product!!

It’s ok. I had one that I lost that I preferred so much more, but this does the job. I wish the lights had more brightness/dimming options, and that the back “hugged my neck” more. But it works for crocheting and that’s what I got it for!

...and we still love them. We use this to walk our doggie at dusk to night especially during fall and winter time. Using this item always feels like we are having our own street light. We never really enjoyed walking at night time before we got these because I think, really don't even remember, we used to use flash light(?). But ever since we got this neck LED light, we actually enjoy walking at night time because it feels like as fun as day time vision wise. I use one and my wife use one and our doggie has his own little light by his neck(different clip type LED and loop type that goes around his neck). *I am leaving the same review for two different company's product because I believe they got exactly the same specs. We love them both equally. Blue one for me and Pink for my wife :D Happy shopping! This one has three different settings and we always use max brightness. We love flexibility of wires because you can very casually, with no effort, just let one towards doggie and one towards direction walking. Picking up poop can never be easier with these hands free spot light :) Battery wise, we never had any issue because we kinda charge randomly when we feel like charging. Never felt the light got dim or anything just charge when feels like we haven't for a long time. Otherwise we let it just hang by the door. Once you get this, you too will start enjoy walking at night and feels sorry for walkers without light or for their small flash light :D

Very light weight and nice and bright. My other neck light finally gave out so found this one and very happy with it. It charged really quickly as well. only comes with charging cord and no plug - fyi

Bendable, easy to use for any age. Light strong for reading, looks great and charges easily.

Trovo sia, un vero piacere indossarlo..leggere, con la comodità di poter stare al buio ,senza affaticare la vista . Leggero e robusto..lo uso spesso e anche la batteria, non ha bisogno di ricariche continue. Molto maneggevole...lo uso anche per infilare il filo, dentro l'ago. Facile da utilizzare e luci e braccetti,regolabili..è un accessorio, che consiglio di regalare a chi ama leggere... o di acquistare in ogni caso, per uso generale....

What a game changer for knitting in low light! No glaring lights need to be on when knitting while watching a show. This light is so light it can hardly be felt while wearing around your neck. It’s an excellent tool at a fraction of the cost of pricier “knitting” specific neck lights.

Given the glowing reviews of this product, I was keen to try it out for myself. Upon arriving, the product was well packaged and secure. However, when trying to use it, it did not power on. I assumed it’s because the battery was dead so followed the instructions of leaving it on charge for a minimum of two hours before the LED light turns green. Still no luck! Can’t seem to turn it on at all. Really disappointed, it was such a nice colour and well designed. Will be returning.
