Cane Creek ZS49/EC49 AngleSet Tapered Headset Kit

Just an old fart riding a fat bike, but, i obsess with how it handles. Excellent article on Cane Creeks website, explaining effects of stem angle changes. When i was riding slow in soft snow, my bike was squirrely as hell. I came to realize i needed a steeper stem angle. Initially went 1˚ steeper, things were better! Could it get even better? Changed out top race and went 1.5˚ steeper. Ride steering is dialed, for me.If you have a fat bike and want to see what changing stem angle will do, try this: Run low air pressure in rear tire to simulate a slaker geometry, see how it feels. By the same token you can lower front tire pressure and probably mimic a steeper geo.Cane Creek has a utube video on how to install incase you can't read, instuctions included.I have had zero issues since install. Drink the fat, and ride on.

After a week of use of this headset the bottom bearing got destroyed and the crown race damaged. The price tag is high and quality very low for what you pay. I never had problems with previous Cane Creek headsets I've owned (110 headsets), so it's pretty dissapointing since I had so much respect for this brand.
