Before going I bought a couple of these.When I arrived, as I thought might have happened they had run the cable into the cabin but left it far too short to reach the area where I needed it. With this and an extra cable I carry with me I was able to hook up with no problem.The connection made by this coupler is mechanically very solid. I can't detect any play in the plugs once inserted. Our IT tech was clearly quite impressed.It gave me a stable connection, no loss of speed or reliability. I have not tried to compare to cheaper versions - this one works perfectly. We needed something that wouldn't affect the quality or speed of the connection and could be relied upon to maintain the connection even if it was pulled about a bit or trodden on.So, I chose this one, and wasn't disappointed.
