The camera quality is great. The only problem I have is with the mic it came with. It slides in the mic slot fine but doesn't connect. I tried getting an answer and it said to turn on the on switch, duh it's what I've been doing. I legit tried working this every way. I even recorded with the mic in and the switch 'on' and uploaded it to my laptop in hopes that maybe it did record sound but just couldn't hear through the camcorder, but no luck with the upload. I am going to return this cause I paid extra for the mic when I coulda just gotten the camera for 70 bux, instead of 109 with a mic that doesn't work.Update: they reached out to me and are going to make this right. I will be waiting on a new mic but will take a while to recieve so i will update on that once it arrives.

zoom stopped working after 5 uses

This an edit to my first review after talking with the customer service team. Actually, this is now the second edit. After the first, I turned my review into 3 stars. Why is it back to 1? A few hours ago, I received a private email from the seller offering me a bribe to delete my review. I reported the bribe to Amazon, who assured me that such activity is against Amazon policy. Furthermore, this "business" emailed me from an "edu" domain, meaning that, not only are they not enough of a business to have their own email addresses - even free ones - they actually emailed me from a hacked email account, presumably so that I couldn't tell who or where they are.This is not a legitimate product from a legitimate company. Even IF the product were able to meet expectations, the seller is absolutely not to be trusted. Since the product is subpar, purchasing this will put you in a lose-lose situation.The video quality is great for a budget camcorder, but I did have a few issues.First, there is no way to hook it up to a computer that doesn't have a memory card reader (not the end of the world, but it was disappointing).This product also didn't come with a manual. Some of these kinds of products don't come with a manual, but there are still some tricks where that would've been helpful. I had to find one online, because I was experiencing some difficulties with some of the features.The external microphone wasn't working when I received it. The customer service team assured me it should work with other external microphones (and I have several), and it didn't work with any. I came to the conclusion that there must be something wrong with the camcorder, and not the microphone.The camera quality wasn't all that important to me when I bought it, but I had some immediate work where I wanted to use the microphone.The camera quality is fine, which is why I rewrote my review. I probably would have just returned the product, and took down my review if it weren't for the customer service team.They were insistent that I took down my review (asked several times), and were just all around very pushy. I was promised a refund which, they quickly retracted when I asked some questions about the microphone specifically.Again, the video is fine, but they have a few things they need to work on.
