The Cat Ladies Potting Soil for Indoor/Outdoor Plants, Expands to Fit 3 Inch and 4 Inch Pots - 12 Pack

I've been buying these discs and their big bag of seeds for 8 years now. Cats love them-first place they head for every time walking into living room! Have never had a bad batch. They're ready for action in about 7-8 days, and last about 3 weeks. I only water 3 Tablespoons at a time, usually every 2-3 days depending on weather. Any more water and we'd get mold. I put 6 oz of water in the microwave for 30 seconds, then pour it over the disc. Stir, then let sit for 10 mins. Stir again. Reserve about 3 Tblsp of soil to the side. Then sprinkle some seeds on top, not too dense. Cover with about 3 Tbsp. reserved wet soil. Keep in low light area for 2 days, then move to sunnier until tall enough, about 3-4".

These are so convenient! Just drop one in water and wait for it to expand into enough potting soil for a 4-6 inch pot. I primarily use these to make wheat grass for my cats. I like that they are organic, easy to use, don't leave a mess to clean up, grows healthy plants. The downside is that they're expensive - you pay for the convenience.

Pretty amazing. Just add some water and lke magic, the soil expands and fills the platter. WIthin a week, following seeding, Charlie is eating fresh grass!

I bought these to grow grass indoors for my kitty and chihuahua. Took 4 soil tablets to fill one pot. Easy to follow directions leave no room for mishaps. Would buy again. I even planted some succulents and spider plants into another pot with 2 more tabs. Which they love.

I have a 4-inch square planter that we keep next to our small dog's food and water bowl and one of the challenges when starting a new "crop" is getting the soil amount just right. I love that these compressed disks are organic and specifically designed for use in growing "pet grass" and they are just the right amount to fill our planter about 3/4 of the way full. All I have to do is add water, let it expand out, then plant the seeds and wait, and voila! Within about 5-6 days, there's a healthy lot of grass growing away in the soil.

First time I bought from here I received a whole kit. But it’s all separate after that. They don’t really make that clear! Seeds and soil are separate. You don’t need to get their soil either, it’s not special, cheaper to make your own or buy somewhere else. Great seed product though.
