awesome shocks for my 2002 Envoy.
Easy install. Awesome shocks. Much better than the stock ones. Can't believe the GM doesn't put better shocks on at the assembly line. Was concerned about lift of back end like others have listed but found that the increase was only 3/4 inch. Not noticeable at all. As far as ride. Don't notice it as being harder, just stabler. Overall extremely happy with these shocks. Ordering another set now for my van which I plan to use to pull my camper. It needs new shocks anyway so why not the added support. Would recommend these to anyone who tows something. Was so happy with these when purchased. Thought these would be last shocks ever needed. Used Envoy twice pulling camper. Worked well but decided I didnt want to stress out envoy so I purchased another set for my 3/4 ton van and used van ONLY for towing. Shocks worked AWESOME towing and loading van. Not really needed but figured the extra support couldn't hurt.

Had bought a pair of these ten years ago but needed to replace them. Very inexpensive and do the job well

Great addition for my Trailblazer
I installed these on my 2004 Trailblazer LT last week. I'm very satisfied so far. I was interested in something that would help ride-height and stability in back while under moderate load.We do tow things occasionally, but not very often. We DO carry a lot of cargo, several times a year vacationing or visiting family. Our "family situation" evolved unexpectedly after we bought our short-wheelbase Trailblazer without the factory third-row seat. We added a custom-made third-row bench from Little Passenger Seats in Modesto, California (they do fantastic work, BTW). That gives the kids room to spread out, but takes up most of the rear cargo area. That pushes our traveling cargo needs out to a "hitch hauler", which regularly carries 250+ lbs of luggage way out past the rear axle, with more leverage than you'd think (creating a higher apparent tongue weight). Our TB has been handling it mostly in stride, but as she approaches 100k+ on the odometer, the original shocks were wearing out. These shocks, along with a set of Monroe 171341 Quick-Strut Complete Strut Assemblies in the front, deliver a very friendly car-like ride, much like when the truck was new. It's forgiving when it should be, but it also feels a lot more confident going into curves, there's less brake-dive when stopping, etc. I was concerned the added helper-spring would create harshness, and that hasn't been a problem at all. The only thing to be aware of is rear ride-height will go up a bit. I measured before and after, and after a couple days' settling, the truck is about 5/8" higher in back. It's noticeable if you're looking for it, but not bad. We haven't tried carrying a ton of cargo yet, but what we've had doesn't seem to have bothered it at all. I'm very happy with the purchase.A word of caution when ordering: These sell and ship in pairs. The picture is accurate, the singular item description is not as of this writing. I ordered quantity 2 and I'm having to return a set.

What isn't to love about these shocks?!?!?!?!
I have as 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer, 6 cyl 4X4, and ordered these as I bought a used camping trailer. (20', dual axle). The shocks work as advertised and keep my car level so I don't have to adjust my headlights. The ride is comfortable whether I'm towing my camping trailer or driving without it.I applaud Monroe for having self-adjusting shocks that don't require a person to get under the vehicle and turn a dial. It's nice to see you saw just how silly that was, but I am so happy that you seem to have really gotten it right! Well done, Monroe.

Simple concept, noticeable difference.
Timely shipping as always. Installed on 02 trail blazer. It's very simple. Lift from the frame, not under axle or anything that would compress the rear suspension because these shocks are difficult to compress. Ride height when empty increased about 1.75 inches. Loaded (350lbs in rear area) it sits about level without the new shocks. Ride isn't comprised much when empty, noticeably stiffer when load, but still not bad. Upper ring for the spring seems cheaply made, but had no issues yet. Must have if you carry or pull trailers.

Does raise the hight in the rear end
It raised the hight in the rear end a bit, not terribly but it was enough to need to adjust the headlights. If you use a jack on the frame and lift the vehicle to just enough to lift the rear tires off the ground when you remove the old ones the new will bolt in with no problems.Definitely prevented it from sagging when pulling a tongue heavy trailer and rear hatch loaded with tools.

I love it
I’m actually glad that I bought these instead of the OE ones because my ride runs so much smoother. It is about an inch higher but I do tow things sometimes so when I tow Something my truck is level And without me telling anything, it’s still a very smooth pride I would recommend you spend the extra money to get these instead of just the regular OE ones
