Good Value
I bought 2 of these to hang off a two-story section of the roof to a rain collection barrel. They work well and look great and I am very pleased with them especially for the price. 2 issues however. You need to be sure the drain from the rain gutter aligns well with the holes in the cups. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the rain gutter and used silicon sealant to place a 1 inch diameter nylon bushing to drain water into this rain chain. The 1 inch diameter is more than sufficient. Any larger flow would completely overwhelm the rain chain. The bushing can float on a bed of the silicone sealant to allow you to adjust the angle (since the gutter bottom isn't particularly flat or parallel to the ground). Otherwise with any angle to the drain bushing, the flow from the gutter splashes off the side of the top cup and mostly goes flying everywhere. Relatively little of it will drain straight down to the holes. On the other hand if you can adjust the alignment so the stream of water flows straight down out of the gutter (consequently straight through all the holes), you'll get a much cleaner (less splash) flow through the entire rain chain. It will look like the picture. This product is copper plated steel. Since the price of copper is through the roof now, anything solid copper would be very expensive. The copper should eventually tarnish to verdigris (I hope but after 3 months there's no sign of it) but it otherwise acts to protect the steel from corrosion. There's also what appears to be a brownish sealant painted over the copper. Maybe that's why I don't have any verdigris turning up. You can see brush marks up close. Regardless, it looks like copper.

Works as expected.
The media could not be loaded. Rain chain was packed in bubble wrap and came in a small box. It looks just like the picture. One cup is a little crooked, but it does not seem to affect how the rain chain works. It rained 5 days after I had it installed and it functioned very well. The man who installed my gutters used the hanging clip that came with the chain. I have not anchored the bottom, but might do so in the future so it won't be blown to the side. For the rain chain to work, it should be straight. The bottom of the chain is above river rocks so dirt is not splattered as the water reaches the bottom. I like the color because it complements the colors on my house. I didn't get copper because copper is so frequently stolen.

Better quality than pure copper chains
I have four rain chains--two of these and two of the "pure copper" rain chains. I live in Michigan, and have left my rain chains up during the winter. The "pure copper" rain chains fell apart, and were a pain to put back together. Parts broke off and were impossible to fix. These chains, on the other hand, have never broken apart from ice. One did fall down, but did not break apart. I was initially hesitant because these were much cheaper. Now I am convinced that more expensive products don't equal better quality. Sure, these are not pure copper, but so what? They look great, and best of all, they don't fall apart! I just bought another one to replace my broken copper chain.

Love the look
My husband said very easy to install. I love the look, it has not rained yet and I haven't ran water through it yet but looking forward to it. We have a drop off raingutter with no spout at end of patio which pours right into the edge of grass and spatters everywhere. I'm hoping this will give it direction and ease the harsh flow.

I bought a set not knowing what I was going to get. Ordered three more sets. These are steel, not copper but I knew that when I ordered. The linking chain is pretty light. I suspect I'll have issues when they get frozen ice hanging on them (as opposed to non frozen ice??). These are definitely ornamental. The water will spray some when the wind blows and it splatters as it falls on a calm day so if they are close to the house or near a deck or door, it will leave overspray. My eaves are 38 inches wide and these look infinitely better than the old down spouts. I've received endless compliments. I used a couple of the left over cups for bird feeders, which works well and looks great as well.

Worth every penny!
I absolutely love it! I had doubts when I seen a picture but hung up it looks great. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, we use different Hardware than what it came with the hang it and anchor it in the ground. We bought two of them, the copper one and the colorful one pictures are posted below. The hardware that came with the same kind of cheap and it didn't come with an anchor but we want with styling one anyways. Definitely looks great!

Arrived as described and in perfect condition. Easy to hang from my gutter with just a little bend of the triangle hanger piece. It handled the slow rain easily, and the gushing rain splashed out the sides a little, but overall stayed down the chain. I did notice that the slow rain wasn't catching on to the chain because the rain was coming out of the other side of the gutter hole, so I adjusted the triangle piece to go to the other side, and it worked perfectly.

Wrong and misleading product description; Avoid.
Wrong and misleading product description. Described as copper plated - it's poor quality steel, painted brown. There's a recent review with a photo showing the cups corroded and broken, that's proof enough. The link-to-cup soldering are uneven with some cups lopped sided, straightening them ended up in broken joints. The cup drain holes are far too big, so the water flows right through tap-like (instead of a cascade as rain chains should be). Don't bother, spend more and get one of real copper and proper design. I can only imagine those giving this 4-5 stars have regretted it later.
