Do you have to wet knots before pulling tight to avoid breaking

Yes. Lubing the knot prior to pulling it tight prevents friction that may damage the line. Highly recommended practice for mono and fluorocarbon line.

Will this line @ 17lbs be able to handle 13-24lb salmon & steelhead?

Yes it will . I have landed a 23 lb striper on 10lb Vanish Fluorocarbon. Strong line.

How much to ship if i don't have $35?? I'm buying from someone else because i couldn't find an answer easily

I usually buy on Amazon because very little more and it saves me time and fuel to by at other store

Great for cats; fish too, I'm sure!

Great for my cat's toy wand/"fishing pole". Didn't know whether 2 pound test would work well. Cats are pretty strong. This stuff worked great! So did 4 pound test. She chewed through cheap fishing line that came with the product. This stuff doesn't seem to interest her nearly as much. Not enough there to bother chewing on, I suppose.
