Not too explicit. Most explicit words seem to be: “vibrator”, “foreskin”, “orgy”, “condom”, etc. Then plenty of words that exist differently in this context - “teabag”, “sausage”, etc.

Could just 2 people play this game? Product description says for 2+ players while box in photo seems to show 4-8+. Which is it?

Yes, but not as much fun with this one set alone. You'll need the Codenames: Duet base game in order to get the 2-sided cards required for 2-player coop games, but with that, you can easily use these cards in a well-designed 2-player game. Highly recommended variation when you have only two to play.
