Nothing really stands out about this bag as far as its utility. I have other bags that have better or more storage. Accessing the inner pockets can be difficult and they're hard to see except in full light. The zippers are ok, but yiu do need two hands most of the time to open or close the side pockets.As for the good stuff. The leather, while not too of the line is really quite good. It's typical Fossil quality which means this bag will last a long time. For a bag this size it can rally hold a lot of stuff! Given the small footprint of this bag it looks great with a suit and tie or business casual. It won't look out of place in a board meeting or the local coffee shop.So if you need a versatile black leather bag, you should check out this one. I looked for a long time to find the style and quality at a reasonable price and think this one fits the bill for me.

Beautiful bag in sage leather with brown handles. Very well constructed, both handles and shoulder strap strongly secured to the body of the bag. Ok, it's not Piquadro or Burberry, but it does look smashing, is made of high quality leather, hardware and fastenings, and represents excellent value for money. Even with the free-falling Aussie dollar and taking postage into account, it was still $70 cheaper to buy from Amazon than my local Fossil store. And it arrived in under a week with regular postage option.The centre pocket is plenty large enough for my 14 inch laptop, and I can carry the charger and mouse in the side pockets without spoiling the profile of the bag. Well laid out interior compartments with useful pockets. I like the exterior slip pocket, very handy for my travel pass. Bag looks great whether I'm suited and booted through the week, or casual on mufti Friday.Handsome addition to my collection of Fossil luggage, very happy with this one!

You'll soon learn why I'm giving this bag a very low rating but for the sake of being objective, let's start with what I like about the bag. I did buy it after all.First, I disagree with the couple of comments made that its "too feminine". Mind you, I'm one who had a hard time finding a decent bag many years ago as there was once a time that it was impossible to find a men's bag that wasn't old fashioned and grandfatherly. This bag is modern and rugged looking. If it has any feminine quality, well, being feminine isn't a bad thing. So I'd suggest that its a balanced looking bag.It's excellent in terms of compartments and slots for today's technological gear and it keeps things snug and organized while traveling.Why am I only giving it 2 stars?The leather loops that hold the rings that clasp to the strap are attached to the bag with GLUE. They are not stitched. They are glued.I owned his bag for less than 90 days, didn't carry anything out of the ordinary (3 lb laptop, agenda, umbrella, and small misc. items), and not once was there a heavy load but all of a sudden that leather loop fell off and the strap was hanging by a thin material with glue residue on it that had kept that leather loop attached to the bag itself. If you want to get years out of a bag, you can't rely on glue. Quality leather goods are not kept together with glue.I hope other owners of this bag have a better experience than I do. But I fear they won't have a long-term experience.

After searching for many months, I am happy to say I found the perfect laptop bag. It's slim, yet fits my 15' Macbook, power chord and other misc. items. Bag also has a nice slip pocket in the front where I put my car keys in the morning as I walk into work.

This was a wonderful surprise! It seems that many small details were thought out in the construction of this bag, although I would suggest minor improvements.The bag is creatively made of two zippered pouches (the size of the bag) that encompass a center compartment that just invited my Macbook 15" retina right in. So perfect was the fit that the very powerful magnetic latch that prevents the laptop from falling out even fit over top and latched. Inside of that compartment that is Large enough for a 12" tablet but is sewn in the middle to make two smart phone sized pouches. These are clearly for the power cord and accessories for the laptop.One side of the Zippered compartment has three sewn divisions that invite pens and business cards and folders and the other side is a larger zippered pouch that accommodates a tablet with no problem. On the front of the case is a slit for easy access to a phone or something you use like ear buds. It's small but innocuous.The strap was the only real disappointment for me. It is a canvas brown that matches the bag in color but within minutes mine was attracting every lose cat hair and piece of lint which diminishes the look just a bit. It would be easy to find a replacement so it's not that big of a deal.There is a big cloth bag inside that's nice to have if you our out and realize you can't fit everything into your workbag. I'm not ashamed to have my bags anywhere I go. I'm always needing my lotion, eye drops and a change of sunglasses and I was hoping this could be a bag for such necessities. And it COULD be, I just have to get used to not having more diverse compartments.The only thing that takes a star from this bag is the strap, but otherwise it is a perfect contender as a smart professional accessory that should last for years.
