Hi, the shipping box is in size 32.68" x 11.22" x 19.68" and in weight of 34.17 lbs.

How to fix the sounds not working?

It has been about 3 years since I bought this horse for my granddaughter. The sound box quit working pretty quickly and we were unable to repair it. The company gave a partial refund with the intention for it to be taken to a local shop which we never did. She continued to ride it and love it, just without the sound.

Does it need batteries?

The horse itself does not need batteries but if you want the horse to continue making noises you will need batteries for that. Ours for our granddaughters lasted about 2 years before we had to put in batteries.
