This thing is wonderful.
My granddaughter loves it. I bought it with some slide sets and some plain slides (so she can wipe boogers on it) and it works great. I have an embarrassing collection of microscopes for a variety of special uses and thought about buying or giving her a "real" microscope. This is a no brainer for a kid. The display rocks. Much better than trying to get a kid to peer down a tube. I have microscope cameras for my real microscopes, and the image quality at low magnification is pretty damn good with this thing. Recommended for aspiring scientists of ALL ages.

Surprisingly Good, Not just for School projects
I use this microscope for my dog breeding operation, and it’s been amazing! The quality is solid, and it feels well-made even though it’s lightweight. The ease of use is a huge plus it super simple to set up and operate, even for beginners. The clarity is excellent; I can clearly see what I need when checking my stud’s samples. The functionality is great too, and I love that it comes with a soft-touch case that’s not hard or bulky but still keeps everything protected. Everything fits perfectly and is easy to take in and out. For the price, it’s great value for money—reliable, clear, and does exactly what it’s meant to do. Highly recommend!

Impressive Microscope
This microscope is well featured and offers impressive performance. Some of its features include dual lighting from top and bottom, three turrets/magnification levels, smooth focus knobs, and portable battery operation. The large display and built-in cameras make captures fast and easy. I also have a regular optical microscope that I have to first focus and then switch out the eyepiece to the camera. This works so much better and quicker. The video capture is a welcome addition as well. The HDMI output is also a useful feature that allows large scale viewing. It comes with five prepared slides and five blanks, but I have a set of 25 prepared slides which are slightly higher quality and like to use to evaluate performance. I do like the target sheet. It is handy and I wonder how I lived without one for so long. This microscope does well on both lighting and focusing, although the depth of field is somewhat shallow and less than expected. The stage is plastic and not as robust as I am used to. I understand it was probably for cost savings, but think at least the arms should be made of metal. They have tabs to press to raise them but do not seem as sturdy and likely to bend or break.
