Best rolled masking material!
This stuff is great! It's my go-to masking material for most jobs, since its plastic but rolls out and tapes more like paper. I was able to tape and spray an entire two car garage (including all the rails, doors, hardware, etc.) with a single roll. Highly recommend using with with a 3M masking tool, though it's definitely not necessary.

Adheres well and does not flake or bleed paint
Works great for masking odd shaped parts and pieces as the paper will adhere without falling like most masking papers. Does not bleed paint or flake as bad as most papers either. As usual with most 3M products, you pay a bit more but the quality is usually always worth it. Will buy again.

Much better than paper.
Way better than paper, how many times have to pulled out a section and had the tape stick to the paper and had to trash it? Does not happen with this, you can peel the tape off and still use the piece you tore off and it won't tear. Looks more expensive but it cost twice as much as 12 inch paper but is twice as long.

Paper or plastic
I was looking for plastic sheeting on Amazon's website for a project I was painting. The 3m paper came up as an option through my search. I hadn't thought of using paper , but hey a possibility to take note of. Price was really on the low end , so I feared product must not be so good, but wait , its made by 3m . Can't go wrong. So I bought it over the plastic option I had started out looking for and glad I did. Paint doesn't bleed through paper. Even after multiple coats.

Paper is Better
Paper is better especially when using on a hand roller. The plastic tears and gets holes in it easily.
