Clamp it.
There’s nothing worse than having clamps that either slip and slide and don’t maintain the grip, or feel like they’ll snap under load. These are Exactly the same as the Dewalt product in homedepot $40+ for one. Commercial grade.Good quality and not flimsy. And they cone in a pair. Put to use straight out the box. Which I have to add was oversized and a waste.

Great Help !
I didn't even have a use for these when I bought them but they were so clever I could forsee many uses for them. Several days after they arrived I noticed that a wooden step to my back porch had split and these clamps spanned the width and secured the step while the Gorilla glue was drying. These things paid for themselves right then and there.
