I purchased the MOVTEKE nightlight for two reasons -- 1) it claimed to output amber-colored light, and 2) it operates on rechargeable batteries. The MOVTEKE nightlight I received does NOT output AMBER light.The purpose of an amber-colored nightlight is for the person who occasionally needs to make bathroom visits at night, but doesn't want to be fully awakened by the harsh illumination of a bright nightlight.I also purchased a similar nightlight product from Mr. Beams. This product also claimed to produce an easy-on-the-eyes amber-colored light. As you see from the attached photos, Mr. Beams DOES, in fact, produce a soft, amber-colored light.I like the Mr. Beams amber nightlight, but it uses expensive non-rechargeable batteries. The MOVTEKE nightlight uses eco-friendly rechargeable batteries.In the ATTACHED PHOTO, both Mr. Beams and MOVTEKE nightlights are illuminating the hallway. The nightlight on the LEFT is MOVTEKE, and the nightlight on the RIGHT is Mr. Beams. As you can see from the light reflections, Mr. Beams (RIGHT) is producing a soft, amber-colored light. However, the MOVTEKE (LEFT) is producing a harsh WHITE light.Perhaps the MOVTEKE light would be good as a closet or cabinet light, because WHITE LIGHT is better for seeing detail. But, as an easy-on-the-eyes nightlight - for occasional trips to the bathroom at night - the MOVTEKE does not live up to its claim.

Works great at night, but it comes on during the day, too, which is why I didn't rate it 5 stars. It is very convenient to recharge and even though it comes on more frequently than it should, I am able to go about a month without charging it and it charges pretty rapidly. I am thrilled with the amount of light that it provides and it stays on for just the right amount of time for me to get into bed. I decided to stand it up on my dresser to use it, so I could figure out the best place to mount it, but I ended up leaving it there, since it stands up and the design and size is very inobstrusive. I would definitely recommend it.

I got this for our bathroom. It is perfect for when you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It is sensitive enough that ours turns on when you are a few feet from entering the room and stays on the whole time. It turns off soon after you leave. It is bright enough to see what you are doing but it doesn’t blind you like turning in the bathroom light can do. I love the fact that you can recharge the battery as opposed to buying new batteries. The magnet on the wall mounting pulled away after about 2 months. Going to have to re-glue that back on but other than that I am very happy with the product. Thinking about getting more for when we have power outages which we get a lot during the winter.

I thought this was great when I first bought it. But every time I recharged it , the battery life got shorter and shorter, so that it is now only a week.

This product is used in hallway upstairs so that when getting up in middle of night to use bathroom, the light comes on so that you do not trip over dog, etc. in your way. Then goes out completely when you are back in your bedroom so that it is completely dark and you sleep better. Excellent product.

This nightlight gives off good light but now after only a few weeks it needs charging quite often (every week or so) it is in our bathroom and with every movement it is on and off so may work better for a closet or somewhere with little activity.

I put this in the hallway so I wouldnt need to turn on lights to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. love that its re-chargable. Easy to install, use and needs charge about every month for me.

Our main bathroom light is too bright to turn on in the middle of the night, so this little light works great just to light up the area near the toilet for those middle of the night trips. It's a great product and I'm buying another one for an RV.
