Classics Wave Powered Mini-Surfer and Surfboard Toy - Outer Bank Olivia

Our kids saw one of these at the beach a few years ago and were fascinated by it, so I finally remembered to buy one before our most recent beach trip. All three of our kids (ages 5, 8, and 11) took turns playing with it throughout the day. It kept them entertained on and off between swimming and other beach activities. There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to throwing it just right so that it rides the waves and comes back to you. Once you figure out the angle and timing, though, it really does surf back toward you, which is pretty cool to watch. **What we liked:** * Fun and active beach activity * Works well for a range of ages * Unique toy that keeps kids engaged * Very satisfying once you learn the throw technique **Overall:** A really fun beach toy that gets kids moving and experimenting with how to throw it. Best beach toy ever!! No matter how u throw him. He's coming back. Its like the boomerang of the ocean. We saw a kid with one a few summers ago and had to get one. Ingenious design! A tone of fun for thw family.

Surfer Dudes are hands-down one of the best beach toys we’ve ever come across! My kids (now 10 and 12) have been playing with their Surfer Dudes for years, and they still don’t get tired of them. It’s one of those rare toys that’s truly fun for all ages. Just toss your Surfer Dude into the surf, and like magic, they turn around and ride the waves back to shore—no batteries needed! The surfboard is self-righting and unsinkable, which means less frustration and more fun. Assembly is super easy, my kids were able to do it all by themselves and the surfer figure detaches from the board, which makes packing up a breeze. If you’re heading to the beach, this is a must-have. Durable, entertaining, and totally kid-powered. Highly recommend!

This Surfing toy was easy to assemble based on the directions it provided. We chose surfing Olivia and she is fun to have at the beach. It kept my daughters of ages 6 and 8 entertained, but I’m sure it would be entertaining for all ages. We discovered that if you throw it into a crashing wave, it comes back nicely. However, if you don’t throw it where a crashing waves is, then it has a hard time or slower time coming back to shore.

Adults and kids alike love this toy when we are at the beach! It works just as advertised. Sometimes it takes a bit for it to catch a wave back but it always does come, and I think the waiting is part of the fun. It's held up well over several beach trips. Despite its expense I've bought a replacement when we lost the first one so I think that's probably the most positive review I can give!

I bought this for my kid thinking it would be one of those “fun for five minutes” toys… and I was very wrong. This little surfer has become a beach trip celebrity at our house. My son loves setting him in the water and watching him actually ride the waves with zero batteries or buttons — just good old-fashioned water power. Keeps him busy on the beach for ever!!
