Paper Mate Flair Original Fibre Tip Pen Medium 1.0mm Pack of 5

I’ve used these pens for forty years and they have always been excellent with very reliable quality...That said, a warning:Be sure that the pens you order have the “point guard!”I recently received an order of 1 dozen pens that did *not* have the point guards, and, whereas these pens usually die by running out of ink after months of use, the pens in this order became unusable within a page or two of writing as their points “mushed out,” becoming too fat to write legibly.I noticed something odd about the order right away because the pens were each labeled with a bar-code stucker for individual sale, and they came randomly oriented in the box, whereas they are usually oriented identically. Also the box was taped shut, which I have never seen before.So, check the box when it comes, if it is as I’ve described here, the pens may not have point-guards and will become useless in short order.The photos show: a bar-coded pen, the blue pen without the point-guard, and a green pen with the point-guard.

The first pic is what I thought I was getting, and what is advertised. The second is what you actually get. The beautiful pastel colors had me immediately drawn to buy them seen on a Facebook ad. I bought it immediately and later noticed $10 shipping and +2 weeks expected delivery. I thought to myself, Damn! But at least those pastel colors are so beautiful. I’ll take the loss bc I really wanted an all pastel set. Then I received vibrant electric colors. Very unhappy. I would return, but I don’t have a car and the nearest shipping place is a 45 min walk. Do not buy if you want super pastel! Bc that is not what you’re getting. Unless you want these colors.

I received a handful of loose pens in a plastic shipping bag. Although they were all hot pink, the shade of pink differed between the pens -- I think some were older than others. Across the set, half of them had dried out upon arrival and were therefore unusable.The pens that work are great! But I wish I didn't have to purchase twelve of them to get six that worked.

Have used these for years - has to be THIS pen. Shopping around one can find them $1 each - I paid 18 for this last box as a test to make sure it was the right one. I had been getting PMPP pens from various office supply places then saw this branded option. Eaxh one lasts me about a month, and at the office my work is known by the distinctive blue ink. I was recently blamed for something because an office worker mistook Sharpie blue for mine. We got that cleared up!

great pens a bit on the expensive side but good quality. only pens I use. blue red and black. only thing is if you also highlight might smudge a little. still great pens just a bit expensive.

This is the second box I have purchased of these pens -- they are great to write with (I do a lot of writing) and they last for ages. I will keep buying them !

These pens are our go to pens for signing documents. The blue is a standout color for signatures and the ink is always smooth. Highly recommended for home and work.

I've been using this pen forever; all throughout my career and well into my retirement years....ink lasts and is the perfect tip.

At the end, please vote this helpful ✨To tHe PoiNt:I bought these pens for genuine righting as I figured it’s easier to understand things in colour.Packaging 📦They came in a neat plastic pack which isn’t good for the environment so if your eco-friendly you probably shouldn’t get this.Quality 🔬They were thin so we’re good for righting and they have lasted very long- still haven’t run out. If you were to use them continuously they would probably run out in 6 months time. You can fit the kid on the other end of the pen which is good so that you don’t easily loose the lid. The pen didn’t squash if leant really hard on it either which was really good. The colours are exactly as shown not brighter or darker 🌈Comfort 🙌Some people (me) right in a certain way that your pen is kneeling into you finger- this pen did give me a blister but it was really easy to use and smooth.Opinion 💁‍♀️Get this pen if you want to: it’s worth it’s value and it’s efficient for righting and posters.

No arguments from me on this one - the pens have water-based ink, so they're a little less prone to bleeding, even on lighter weight paper. I bought mine to use in my bullet journal. I'm currently using a Leuchtturm1917, and while there's definite ghosting with these pens, nothing has bled through even when I've repeatedly gone over a section to highlight it.The selection of colours is decent; you have a few of your standard colours (black, blue, red, green) along with a few bright colours (yellow, orange, sky blue, etc). I really like the muted plum, olive and marigold colours.These are, I believe, a Medium felt tip. You can write pretty easily with them (great for faux calligraphy if you're into that kind of thing), but at the right angle they'll cover a sizeable area in no time!Overall, I can't fault them. For what they are - medium felt tips with water-based ink - PaperMate have nailed it.

Amazing, firm nib and lovely thin lines. Doesn’t bleed a lot/if at all, and vibrant colours! Great pens:)

Now to the review!I use these pens to write, as opposed to colouring. I like felt-tip pens for this purpose; they make writing fun. Yet, I deducted one star because of the disadvantage based on my intention for use.ADVANTAGES+ A medium, 0.7mm, tip is good for everyday writing.+ The quality of the pens are fantastic.+ They look and feel good in the hand; the lid is firm and has a secure snap lock.+ The magenta colour is vibrant and also my favourite writing pen.+ The magenta colour is clear and easy to read.DISADVANTAGES- The other colours, Orange, Lime and Sky Blue are too light. As a result, I found it difficult to read what I wrote. They would be good for colouring, but they lack a certain punch for writing.
