if i ever need extra PS3 controllers it'll probably be this one... obviously the deadzones are different (probably the same as the Nintendo Switch Pro controller) and the rumble is worse, but I dont exactly want to get another DS3 or SIXAXIS off of amazon or ebay only for it to be DOA again. I haven't tested this with a PS4 or PS5 but i would assume it wouldn't work very well. YMMV also... why isn't this available on amazon.ca? its on here and amazon.com but not .ca???? i guess its a hot import item?

長年、純正品の代わりになるPS3コントローラーを探し続けてきましたが、ようやく「これこそが完璧だ」と言えるものに出会えました。Retro Fighters Defenderは本当に素晴らしいです。 まず、人間工学に基づいたデザインが秀逸で、握り心地が純正品より遥かに良いです。手に吸い付くようなフィット感があり、長時間のプレイでも全く疲れを感じません。ボタンの押し心地やスティックの精度も抜群で、安価な互換品にありがちなデッドゾーンの問題もなく、FPSやアクションゲームでも精密な操作が可能です。感圧式ボタン、6軸センサー、振動機能がフル搭載されている点も、他の製品にはない大きな強みです。 さらに驚いたのがバッテリーの寿命です。1月3日に購入してから3週間、毎日ではないものの合計で5時間以上プレイしていますが、電量表示が未だに一格も減っていません。 また、現代的なUSB Type-Cで手軽に充電できるのも、専用ケーブルが必要だった純正品に比べて非常に便利で助かっています。 唯一の難点は、最初のペアリングが少し分かりにくく、設定に手こずってしまったことです。世界最高のデバイスだと思うからこそ、説明書がもう少し詳しく丁寧であれば、初心者でもスムーズに使い始められると感じました。 そこさえ乗り越えれば、操作感も利便性も100点満点です。PS3を現役で遊んでいるユーザーにとって、これ以上の選択肢はないと断言できます！

TLDR; The Retro Fighters Defender Bluetooth is a reliable alternative to the DualShock 3, with better battery life, vibration, lighter weight, firmware updates, and improved triggers, though the D-pad takes getting used to. With so many fakes and bad quality used DualShock 3. This will be your HERO. Let's start with the bad stuff because there are very few. CONS—The Dpad takes some time to get used to because you have to press harder than the Og DualShock 3. NEUTRAL - whether you like your analog sticks swapped like the Xbox family or both at the top like the Wii U Pro controller. This is not negative or positive for me, I'm OK with all 3 analog stick systems, so this one having both analog sticks at the bottom, like the traditional PlayStation family, is fine with me. Also, it makes sense, seeing it is PS3/PS4 focused. Some people might be bothered because the Xbox Family configuration has won out on this, ESPECIALLY on PC. PROS 1. The Retro Fighters team cared about their product and released a firmware update for this controller. 2. battery life is better than Og. 3. vibration is better than Og. 4. The website says it has a 12-month warranty. 5. It is light, like almost a Wii U Pro controller. Some people want it heavy, but I don't want to hold a weight in my hand all day, especially if it doesn't reduce the quality of the controller. 6. fully six-axis functional. 7. any other function the DualShock 3 has, Defender Bluetooth also has. PLUS, it has 2 ways to use turbo features. 8. L2/R2 triggers are better; you don't need to buy trigger extensions.

This controller can turn on the PS3, and has a USB C charging port. It's also is a lot more comfortable than the OG controller, and has motion controls too. This is the best modern substitute for the PS3 controller.

Had a lot of use!! Still going as new.
