Read reviews before purchasing
Nice little peace of gear however if you aren't familiar with configuration files alsa or making good use of Google while utilising your apt-get function I'd suggest to stay away. Yes it's plug and play for Windows 8-10 but not for the pi or a Linux operating system for that matter. After several arduous hours of trying to get my little Raspberry pi to detect this little sucker I had all but given up hope until I cracked it, however I am now stuck trying to get it to actually work without me being close enough to stick my tongue in the usb port

Works as intended - make sure you up the gain on the mic to the max before attempting to use it for a virtual assistant project..

Do not buy. Does not fit into a USB port
NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. If it doesn't fit into a USB port then it's not USB. As seen in the attached picture the circuit board inside the USB is too thick and doesn't fit into a USB port thus rendering the device completely useless.

Very poor ok for baby monitor
A very, very, poor quality microphone. However, for a baby monitor it works out quite well as it filters out light noise and only transmits proper crying.

Instructions are poor
I have struggled to get this to work on my Pi or Pi zero. The instructions don't work, the python code doesn't do what it says and so far I haven't had the time to work through and troubleshoot. Its a tough decision but I decided to keep it and hope its the code rather than the device. I am not a Python Dev so I am learning as I go. If you are a beginner to Pi and/or coding/Python this isn't for you.

Do Not Buy this
Tried it on a Raspberry PI and could barely hear anything. I tried a USB headset and that worked fine so the problem is with the Mini Microphone. Either it is faulty or works so badly it is not fit for purpose. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Get something else
It does work without any hassle, but the sound is of terrible quality. It really filters out high frequencies. Completely useless for what I needed it. Sadly I had to travel and I can't return it.
