GG does it again
One thing I've always liked about Greg Gutfeld are his monologues, which are as insightful as they are hilarious. Every topic he touches is full of the red meat we experience when we watch him on TV, see his Gutfeld Live! stage shows (I haven't been to one yet, but I'd like to sometime in the future), or sit in the audience when he does his late-night show (I haven't done that yet, either). This was another book I couldn't put down, and I also read it cover-to-cover in a matter of hours.

“Gutfeld Monologues” Leaves me Feeling Good but Wanting More!
I recommend this excellent book. Gutfeld is a wordsmith, so don’t miss the metaphors (college is the IKEA of intolerance) and similes that abound in addition to the rhymes and an occasional alliteration. Don’t let the Potty mouth obscure them, (“flatulence” used at least four times in the book). The author is a self-effacing genius who shows how he has learned to explain ‘What makes Trump Tick’.Is he trying to defy the field of Hermeneutics (“we each bring our own experiences, biases, and personal preferences to what we are reading”) by showing how adaptive he has been in dealing with the Trump Phenomenon? The excellent chapters are 1: Identity Politics and 4: Islamic Terror. Here are some things that could be better. The chapter 7: Sexes could be dropped entirely to make the book better. The Chapter 2: Law and Order, could be honed to reach the caliber of the previous chapter. The other three chapters, 3: Hollywood, 5: The Environment and 6: The Campus, are very good. (Jim Carrey and Jane Fonda rants – were not as enjoyable, because they were not clever rants!)Gutfeld knows he can’t help being repetitive – too many ‘wooden’ attacks on Kerry, though funny each one of them! (Trump vs. Kerry, “a race between an Olympic sprinter and an Adirondack chair”).There are gems strewn throughout. In his inimitable gentle, witty style he pokes fun at the Hare Krishnas while simultaneously drawing a sharp contrast to the pro-ISIS leaflet handouts in Britain (Aug 2014).

A possible cure for TDS
Although Greg has promoted THE GUTFELD MONOLOGUES collection for months now, I was hesitant to order it, despite being a big fan. Would there be enough material of interest, or just huge amounts of white space and 16 point fonts to disguise an anorexic word count? Would the monologues be as entertaining in print, without benefit of video clips, snarky inflections, and a studio audience? I was skeptical. However, just like I cave and order 48 microwave bags of Farmer Phat’s cheesy-bacon popcorn on 90-day auto-delivery after it's pitched on QVC a dozen times , Greg’s entreaties to buy the book broke my will. I am grateful for his persistence.Besides the original monologues he provides updates and elucidations, and even admits when he got it wrong. (Refreshing, although most his observations stand the test of time.) The book is organized into seven subspecies of progressive malfeasance, one area of societal decay for each day of the week, and covers several years of circling the drain. Lots of the material was new to me, and he’s added much that will be new to everyone. I’ve already started a second read-through, Sharpie in hand, to highlight the good lines I plan to steal. I encourage other readers to do likewise since it will be on the list of leftist banned books and thus you will appear very witty and none of them will be wise to your plagiarism.

Amazingly Fun, Insightful, Honest.
I will admit, I am a Greg Gutfeld fan. I do, "set my DVR so I never (almost) miss an episode of the 5." I also hate reading. I've never enjoyed reading, it is NOT my pass time, I get bored. BUT when I heard that Greg was putting out a book of his monologues, I knew I HAD to have it. I'm only about half way through because I mainly find time to read when I fly, waiting in the airport and all... But it is fantastic. Small, short snippets that can be easily consumed and then put down. Greg's monologues are my favorite thing on the 5... He is just so honest and will admit when he is wrong but calls out hypocrisy from anyone. It's great to go back and read all of these together. Can't wait to finish it. BUY this book.

Do Not Hold Hot Beverages While Reading This Book
I have done the above and cleaned up after collapsing into laughter many times. What can I say? He's just Gutfield, someone you would not know about if you don't watch Fox News. You have not been caught watching a news discussion on The Five explode into insanity when Greg puts in a short sentence that stops everything. It just spontaneously erupts and cuts through all conversation. A minute later he can nail a political point dead on with passion and biting sarcasm to drive his point softened again with a slight edge of humor. If you don't watch The Five, read this book for the sake of stress relief, for a way to handle the situations and political arguments of the last few years or just for an amazing time of fun and laughter.

Another Crazy Romp In Gutfeld Land!
This is the third book that I’ve read by Greg, and it was just as enlightening, energizing, and endorphening (I claim this word!) as his other two. Satire with honest intelligence and wacky entertainment is hard to come by right now. In the ‘Age of Trump’ that I love in spite of the violent Leftist-Horde, this book is a welcomed respite to political idiocy that makes me want to hire the A-Team. My 87-year-old Mom watches your show and says, “He’s just crazy sometimes!” She loves your rants as much as I and my husband do. Keep on keeping it real, Writing Bro, and don’t let the Left take your unicorns away! LUV YA BUNCHES IN JESUS WITH MANY HUGS! Tonja Condray Klein, Fantasy author and protagonist-in-training.

A bit repetitive. Clear concept that doesn't quite work
Quite dated content

Too funny to put down...
The best of the best monologues from the TV show The Five but for the reader and learner in each of us.

The book was quite short
Maybe I expected too much based on his TV shows. I found that the stories were a bit flat.
