This clock IS silent as advertised. The second hands "glides" around the clock, not "jumping" from second to second like other clocks. The color is pretty accurate and is pretty. It could use a bit more contrast to be able to see the numbers better, but it wouldn't stop me from buying it again. Seems to be keeping good time, which is more than I can say for the other ones I took back to the store.

My favorite color purple-this clock is in my purple guest room. It looks very nice. Works great.

We were looking for a clock that did not have an audible tick to fit into our kitchen. SInce there are sometimes people sleeping nearby, there was a need for this clock NOT to make noise. And due to the decor, I wanted it to be red and to have the right type of hanger and size to fit into the space allotted for the clock. This one had all the right attributes. It's a little harder to read than the old one, but not too much so. The non-noise piece is enough for us! Works well.

Great clock. Bought the red. A little tough to see from a distance, otherwise no complaints. Second hand glides, doesn’t tick, so it’s quiet.

I have to be at work at zero dark thirty in the morning. Every work day it's a race to see how fast I can get out the door. I used to spend lots of time running into the living room to check the time. I hung this in my purple and white bathroom and can tell if I am late. Has saved me a ton of time. Plus it looks great. Good value for the money.

This clock is cute and works perfectly. I got the bright red one with 3D numbers. It’s on the kitchen wall right over my red toaster and blender. It’s great fun accent!

Bought this to replace older clock that died. This is my first 'silent' clock -- quiet is so nice! Purple color is lovely, silver numerals and hands are easy to read from a distance. Very pleased with accuracy, it's perfect to far. AND same goes for the 2nd one I bought after trying the first one (also purple)!

Very disappointed. Clock is definitely not silent! Also very over priced! Would not recommend this item.

I was really pleasant surprised with this clock - for a start (probably my own fault) I thought from the photos that it was silver surround as well as hands/numbers. It is actually white on the outside which was a bonus really as my bedroom theme is purple/white! The purple is lighter than I thought too but still a very nice shade. I also really like how it appears extra 3D on the wall due to the slim lip between face and battery compartment. It really is a lot more striking than it appears in the photos. Only downside is, it isn't silent. It's quieter than a standard clock, granted - but definitely not silent.

I bought a different one at first, a radio controlled one, but it was a European one and it was either a one hour or two hour fast and couldn’t do anything with it. So I looked again and saw this one, it’s a great timekeeper I can see it clearly from my bed and it goes perfect with my mural and silver foil paper. Good price as well.
