Laser Pegs Mars Rocket Light Up Building Kit (580 pieces)

Got this set as a gift for a friends kid and they "Lit up" when they saw it. Many comments like "Oh cool it lights up!" Honestly, I wanted to try to build it so I got some other kits to try for myself. I am in the process of building the Laser Pegs Monster Truck Fire's Fury, and it has been pretty relaxing watching TV and following the instructions. The instruction are pretty clear but it took me a minute to figure out that a "white" piece means "clear". The pieces lock together tightly, they are compatible with LEGO's and my favorite part are the little figures expressions. I'm curious as to how long the batteries will last and will try to update once I figure that out. They are replaceable, inexpensive and the build still looks cool without the lights. Another cool part is how many unique pieces you get. Loved building the Laser Pegs Mars Rocket kit! The instructions were clear and the pieces came organized accordingly, I was able to complete the whole thing within a few hours. The rocket itself is sizable and the two satellites are cute additions that make the the whole Mars scene come together. I also love that it came with both a female and male astronaut, which are both nicely detailed.The lights throughout the models are bright, and shine through the translucent pieces very well. I built this kit in a decently lit room, and the lights were still very vibrant throughout all the pieces!Overall a really great kit to build.

I don't write many reviews, but felt compelled after my experience with this product!I don't know much about kid's toys at this point, so when I was looking for gifts for my nephew (age 9) I had no clue what to get him. I asked a friend with kids who recommended Laser Pegs (I hadn't heard of them before). He's one of those kids that has an iPad, so when he was getting gift-card after gift-card to the app-store from his friends, I assumed that I was way off base.He unwrapped this and it was a home-run with my nephew (and his friends who were with him) from there. Shy of throwing his iPad to the aside, he quickly went to unboxing the pieces from the larger box. He and his friends immediately started in building things - the fact that there we so many pieces really helped he and all his friends build tons of little things. He said he couldnt wait to make the actual Mars rocket ship later.I'm a designer in my mid-30's. I grew up with Legos and loved building things with them. This product is such a great evolution for kids, like my nephew, that basically play with all their toys on a screen. The tactility, problem-solving and fun I got to see him have playing with this made my day. This was part of 2 other sets I got him. My Brother (his Father) has told me that he basically runs into the house from school and starts creating his own little world out of these things. I think he's yet to construct the actual Shuttle - so I can't speak to how easy or hard it is - but from what I gather, its completely taken over his attention and my Brother (and his wife) are thrilled that he's being so creative with it.Highly recommend - will be buying more for him in the future!

What an improvement from older Laser Peg kits. The bricks definitely fit more tightly together, and the pieces just feel more robust. They also come apart slightly easier, which is good if you make a mistake using the wrong slim pieces. The little notches definitely help with removal! Also, the little figures have knees, which I thought was cool. The set itself is impressive, and looks awesome all lit up. The rocket sounds are definitely a plus, and the lights flash when in sound mode. Very cool!

My daughter loves this set, and squeals with delight over the sounds it makes just by motion. The sounds and lights really make her excited. She loves disassembling and re-assembling the rocket, and has all kinds of adventures around the house with her other laser pegs sets as well. This rocket is seriously cool, and kind of wish I had one of my own, haha!Fantastic, love it, keeps her occupied for hours. Keep up the awesome work, Laser Pegs!

Pieces are easy to handle and snap together. Early Christmas shopping I am.I have ordered Laser Pegs before, and the kids love them. Me too, except I have to wait to play until they open this set. My little astronaut has an addition to the collection this year. Awesome colors and lights. I tried to upload a pic of the captivating box, but the Amazon window crashed and I had to write this again.

From the moment my kids saw the packaging they were excited! This very large rocket looks stunning. Having translucent pieces so it can light up in different colors is a great added touch! And it even makes noise too. The other thing that impressed me was the instruction manual. So well written with step by step illustrated instructions that a child can follow easily. I’m very pleased with this purchase and look forward to trying other Laser Pegs kits!

This was a gift for a friend's grandson. He has been to NASA and was so pleased to have a rocket of his own to put together. He loved the noises, the lights, and the challenge. He was also happy to be the first of his friends to have this new product.

My granddaughter has cerebral palsy and we try to find ways to encourage her to use her left hand. Well, here it is. She loves the blinking lights space men all of it.

Bought this for a nephew that is into both construction toys and space exploration. He is 10 and when he got it, we lost him for several hours as he would not stop until it was...

I purchased this as a gift for my Lego-loving husband after a recommendation from a friend. He was thrilled! He couldn't wait to try it out.
