Effective but use with caution
Initially I was intimated to use it but it is really no-brainer: squeeze the pump to inflate and use the valve to adjust firmness and deflate. I definitely felt the pull in my neck which was nice at first. However, after using this, I feel like I may have a more severe cervical condition because after just a few minutes, my neck felt strained and I went into a slight panic as it seemed the pressure was too much and I had a hard time breathing. Perhaps to start, one should inflate minimally. I don’t know that I’d use it again after that experience personally but I can see how it is effective for those with cervical tension (not as sensitive as mine.)

It works dependent on what you need it for
So I bought this because I have a lot of knots in my back and bc I’m getting wrinkles in my neck. I tend to hold my stress in my shoulders hunching them up. I don’t even notice it and have to be mindful to bring my shoulders down and back. When I sleep my shoulders hit my ear and I thought maybe this was where the wrinkles in my neck come from. Anyhow, to correct posture I bought the product. The concept of using a blood pressure pump to lift neck and push shoulders down is interesting and you have to know which way to spin the knob to pump. After you figure that out it’s easy. It does what is suppose to. Only downside is the fabric is the kind that attracts hair to it if you have pets. That’s about it but that’s not about functionality. It works fine. The comfort is there and you can adjust it using the pump. So if you want more air or less you pump accordingly. It hasn’t fixed my wrinkles but while wearing it does help with posture. Wish it was slightly cheaper but that’s with everything, but it’s fine.

This thing actually works!!
First off. I'm not one to write a review. But I just had to in this case. I have had neck problems for the last year. Was told I had a bulging disk. Now whether that was true on not. I don't know. But I do know that I have had pain and a stiff neck for the last year. Some days are worse than others. And I had a slight dull pain when turning my neck to the left. I was constantly rotating my neck to try and get relief. I got this neck device today (5/13/2025). I was very skeptical because who isn't when buying a $20 medical device online. But I put it on and aired it up pretty good. It was tight but not chocking me or anything and I was sitting in my chair for maybe 5/6 minute with this on. I let the air out and man, I'm here to tell you I have no neck pain!!! I can bend my neck down and up, to the left and right and no pain!!! If this thing only works for a month and I have to buy a new one every month. It will be totally worth $20 a month for this pain relief. I'm going to put it on again later on tonight and wear it about 5/6 more minutes. And hopefully wake up tomorrow feeling my best in a year.

Moderate pain relief from this funny-looking inflatable pillow
I have a neck and shoulder issue that I went to physical therapy for and while the exercises do help, it still causes me some pain, especially after sitting in an office chair all day. When my therapist recommended that I try one of these inflatable traction devices, I was pretty skeptical. Seriously, it looks absolutely ridiculous. But hey, the girl in the picture is smiling, so it can't be bad, right? Well, after using this for a few weeks now, I am completely surprised and offer my apologies for jumping to conclusions based on the picture (which being honest, still looks rather silly). All you have to do is wrap it on your neck, inflate with the manual hand pump to your desired comfort level (I usually fill the thing till it won't inflate anymore) and then sit there for about 10 minutes. You will look pretty goofy, but after you release the air, it actually feels like it did something to help with the pain. To be fair, it's not life-altering pain relief we're talking about here but it offers some decent relief for a few hours afterwards. No guarantees it will work for everyone, but I am certainly glad I gave it a try. It's not expensive and hasn't exploded on me yet!
