Will i be able to extend a 1" pipe section through the horizontal plane?

This will accept 1" Schedule 40 PVC pipe (actual outside diameter of 1.315") into each of the ports, and the pipe will be stopped by a small detent into each of the ports at about the 1.25 inch mark, from the end of the pipe. The pipe will not extend through the entire fitting.

The images show 2 different images, a straight side outlet 4 way and a 4 way corner T. Which ones are we purchasing or do we have a choice?

They are the same product in both images. The second photo is merely the same 4-way fitting turned 90 degrees clockwise, standing on its end. Hope this helps!

Is there a way to purchase only a single tee of this type?

Yes! Single Tee fittings are common and can be found anywhere pipe fitting is sold. If you're looking for the nicer finish of the furniture grade fitting, make sure you look for that in the description and it is harder but not impossible to find (it's easier than finding the 4-way tee).

Will this fit on sch 80 pvc?

Yes. This product will fit over 1" Size Sch 40, Sch 80, Class 200 and thinwall pipe. Hope this helps!
