How long does it remove stinky breath for, like all day long or for just like a couple hours? Also is removing bad breath its main purpose ?

I use it to combat bacteria which was causing inflamation of my gums which in turn caused bad breath. I no longer have bad breath....

Would like to add to the warm water in my water pic. Is this recommend & how much should I add?

The short answer is no because you need to use it full strength to achieve maximum effectiveness. Here's the routine my dentist has me using and it (in 4 days of use twice daily) took the pockets in my gums from 12's & 14's down to 7's. After brushing for 2 full minutes (30 seconds on each side of teeth), rinsing and then flossing/hydroflossing I use my water pic in the morning and dental floss at night -- your teeth need to be clean and all the stuff in your mouth rinsed out: (1) Closys - ½ oz or two full capfuls for and swish around in your mouth for 30 seconds. Then spit it out.; (2) Antiseptic mouthwash like Listerine (with alcohol in it) - use 2/3 oz or 4 tsp. - there's usually a marker point on the inside of the cap and swish around in your mouth for 30 seconds. Then spit it out; and, (3) Act fluoride rinse without alcohol - use 10 ml (there is usually a marker in the cap or use the squeeze and measure up to the line on the bottle with a pump). Swish around in your mouth for a full minute. Spit and then don't eat, drink or smoke anything for a full 30 minutes to ensure that the protective coat fully dries to protect your teeth.

Do you just add the little tube of flavoring to the whole bottle if you want it to be minty?

Well I've never added the mint flavoring in because mint flavoring burns my mouth. But personally, I would add a quarter of the little bottle at a time, and then taste to see what you think. Mint has always been used to mask or neutralize mouth odors, so the proof of this product is that it doesn't NEED the mint. Your breath will smell just fine without the mint, once you start to use Closys regularly. It's most critical to use it at night, right before bed, so your mouth is squeaky clean for all those hours when saliva production (and protection) is at its lowest point. It also helps if you scrape your tongue clean with a tongue scraper, right before using the closys.

Is this mouthwash antifubgal?

CloSYS is antifungal and antimicrobial. We have data (in our patents) that CloSYS kills and inhibits growth of Candida (fungi also considered as microbes). Therefore, our claim “antifungal” & "antimicrobial."

米国駐在中に歯科医から勧められて使い始めました。エナメル質の再生、汚れの除去、口臭にものすごく効きます。ミント味を使っていましたが日本へ帰ってからは無香で。効果は変わりません。日本のマウスウォッシュはおそらく殺菌をその瞬間しても、雑菌を歯のエナメル質から引き剥がし後も増殖させない効果があるのだと思います。虫歯になりかけの歯もエナメル質で止まっていれば再生するようです。

Good mouthwash for anyone who takes mouth hygiene seriously. Thought expensive but it's a non coloured liquid and taste free liquid. Helps with sensitive teeth and cavity protection.

I found this amazing product after reading "Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye" by Ellie Phillips which basically tells you to (in this order which is important): 1) Use CloSYS for 30 seconds and do not rinse 2) Brush your teeth for 2 minutes (I floss first) 3) Use an anti-sceptic rinse like Listerine for 30 seconds 4) Either rinse with fluoride for 1 minute or (in the case you don't trust fluoride) use Xylitol as a rinse to counteract the alcohol in the anti-sceptic rinse I healed 3 serious cavities in about 2 months. The dentist couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe it. I have xrays. Blew the dentist away. Plus my teeth were whiter than they had ever been before. Get that book too, explains it all, shows the scientific research, talks about stuff like xylitol gum, and has a LOT more info. So, I looked up the chemicals to find out how this stuff works. Here's a list of the ingredients in order of their amounts: water, stabilized chlorine dioxide, trisodium phosphate, citric acid First, a small explanation on where cavities come from. The two types of bacteria most frequently associated with cavities and periodontal disease are anaerobic, which means they live where there is little oxygen. Oxygen in your saliva actually kills them but if you sleep with your mouth open or have dry mouth, you will have problems (and bad breath). Sugar is also a problem, but surprisingly not because of sugar. But that same bacteria eats the sugar and literally poops acid that wrecks your teeth. Yes, bacteria poop is the stuff that rots your teeth. Ask your dentist. So here's how CloSYS works: 1) Chlorine dioxide: attacks the volatile sulfur gases in your mouth, neutralizing them and the smell they produce. Also produces oxygen that kills the anaerobic bacteria in your mouth. 2) Trisodium phosphate: An alkaline solution used as a cleaning agent, food additive, stain remover, and degreaser. This safely cleans and bleaches your teeth. That's it. It works well and is worth the price tag. I give it 5 stars. And just in case, so that you know this is a real review, I have no association nor do I work with any company for this review including the book I mentioned. I'm just regular guy with other reviews on Amazon here. Just thought I'd help and spread the word.
