do these really hurt? I'm a female with a normal size head and ears but a lot of male reviewers say they hurt, but are they good for gym if tight?

I don't think they hurt; but I do get sweaty when I wear them for an extended period of time.

Do these cancel the sound of a mower?

Hello I never got to test the Beats Studio Pro close to a mower or in an area where there was one near. However, I did had them on at an airport, and in my opinion the headphones performed very well in that environment of multiple terminal announcements, sounds and noises.

Can I return these if I don’t like the fit?

Depends upon the seller. If Apple, then yes within a set period of time.

I read a review of these that said they were tight. I have a big head, will these fit me?

The Beats Studio Pro don't snug well. These headphones tend to clamp on the ears. I felt like wanting to take them off every hour of use because my ears started to feel suffocated and warm of how tight they were on my ears. I recommend you try them first if you happen to see them available for testing at your nearest Apple store, Best Buy or Electronics and Gadgets store.
