Why is hay so important for herbivores?

Small herbivores have unique digestive systems that require ample amounts of high-fiber hay for digestive and dental health.

How much hay should rabbits and guinea pigs eat daily?

Hay should be available at all times and should make up at least 70% of the daily diet of small pets.

What makes Oxbow hay special?

All Oxbow hay is grown by experts across our family of farms. Oxbow hay undergoes extensive quality and nutritional testing and is de-dusted and hand-sorted to deliver consistent premium quality you can trust.

How can I encourage my pet to eat more hay?

Like people, all pets are unique. Try offering multiple varieties mixed together to find your pet’s favorite.

How should I store my hay?

In order to preserve the color, freshness, and nutritional value, store in a cool, dry location out of direct sunlight.

Happy again!

This is the only hay my piggy will eat lately. He will actually turn his nose up at most hays and go without eating any! However after our 2 bag he is now doing it again. The hay looks awful in this last bag! Looks like dried up grass clippings laying in the yard. The first bag was so fresh and green! He absolutely loved it! I’m out of options now Update: I went to return it and they gave me a free bag with two day shipment. The hay is BACK TO BEING FRESH AND GREEN! Piggy is back to loving it! Thank you!
