Note: Do not use these for simply trying to connect a SAS drive to a SATA controller or SATA port on a motherboard, you will be disappointed as it wont work.However if you have a SAS controller on the motherboard, or, you have a SAS HBA or RAID card and need to make a connection to a SAS device yet the server or system you are using only has SATA power connectors available, this is what you are looking for.

I ordered this product and it did not work for us. I tried it on multiple units and figured that I would try something different. Could have been user error which is why I did not give it less than three stars.

I bought one to use on a 2.5 inch Seagate 15.3 146gb hard drive to use on a Dell Precision T3600. It allow me to use the on board Intel SAS controller on the drive. It worked. Thank you

Original equipment for SAS drives used in most of the Dell Power Workstation.. DiscTech is a great vendor.. Will buy again when the need arises.. Good source for new and recertified SAS drives too.. Excellent prices.. Thanks..

I'm using this on a VMWare hypervisor, there was a little work to make sure the system recognized it as an SSD. This not related to the product though, it's a VMWare related issue.

This particular adapter did not work for me. I need to purchase adapters with power handling caps to help regulate the SAS drive power requirements
