TrespassWomen's Waterproof Parka Jacket Thundery

For reference, I am 5'7" or 1.70m; size: L, UK 14, EU 42.I did a lot of research for a good, warm, wind- and waterproof jacket which I would like to take along when I go to Iceland, and narrowed it down to 2 on Amazon, namely the Trespass Thundery and Craghoppers Inga.Trespass Thundery - £53.15:This is a silver-gray jacket which I had ordered in XL, based on some of the reviews recommending to size up; as it is quite boxy and big, an L might have been fine for me.The back is longer than the front, which has its advantages.The sleeves are long (which is great for me, as I have long arms), and I really like the knitted cuffs, as they hold onto my wrists and minimize the cold air coming in.There are 6 pockets on the outside: 2 by the chest, and 4 by the hips (2 visible ones, with 2 non-visible ones by their side); there are no pockets on the inside.The zipper works fine, and the flap covering it uses Velcro straps.The hood is not removable and has a drawstring at the back to adjust the size; I really like the colour of the faux fur against that of the jacket, but there is no option to remove it if needed.Craghoppers Inga - £72:I got this jacket in the colour "charcoal" and size 14; it ended up being much too big, so I am returning it; I also ordered a size 12 in the meantime - this fits well but is still quite roomy.The sleeve length is good, but I would have liked it to be a touch longer for my long arms; the ends of the sleeves can be made tighter using the snap buttons.There are 4 pockets on the outside by the hips (2 visible ones, with 2 non-visible ones by the side which have zippers and are thermal lined); there are 2 pockets on the inside - e.g. 1 for gloves and 1 for the mobile phone.The zipper works fine, and the flap covering it uses snap buttons.The hood is not removable and can be adjusted at the back with the additional snap button; the faux fur is removable.It was difficult to decide between the two jackets, both are great and I cannot tell which one is warmer. In the end, I decided to keep the Craghoppers jacket and return the Trespass jacket due to the slightly better fit and features of the former.

I needed a lightweight coat that would keep me warm and dry. I have never been cold in this coat and when at work and a torrential rain storm started right before we were due to leave I wasn't as upset as others because my coat is waterproof! Would highly recommend and even the price was great value!

I've just had this jacket delivered so I've not road tested it, only tried it on. It's very good quality, warm and fits really well (I'm a size 14/16 and ordered the xl which allows me to wear a jumper underneath). The hood has a fur edge to it which can't be removed, but it unpops with poppers and you just tuck it inside if not required. The hood is snug and has an adjuster at the back to tighten if required; it covers the head well without being too big, so I imagine it will stay up in windy weather. Overall I am very pleased with the jacket.

I have coats that are waterproof, windproof and warm individually but not one that is all of these so with the constant storms and bad weather decided to buy this.Firstly it's cheaper to buy in Amazon than Trespass's own site! It's a nice coat, haven't tried it in full on rain but in heavy showers it kept me dry. On the plus side the hood is really snug and warm and doesn't blow down and the pockets are large and fit loads of stuff. It could do with an inside pocket though (if there is one I couldn't find it).However I am disappointed that a/ it's not that windproof and b/ it's not that warm. I usually don't feel the extreme cold but this coat definitely isn't that snug or warm in the wind which is disappointing. Even with a snowboarding fleece on underneath I still felt the wind chill.Size wise I'm a 8/10 and got the 10 which is a good fit and allows a thick jumper /fleece which is needed to keep the wind out.Overall for the pice it's a good dog walking coat but no good for cold weather.

This coat is lovely and warm but without being bulky. It feels quite light to wear, especially compared to some of my other winter coats. I bought it to replace a previous Trespass coat which had a rating of TP50. This one is TP75 and the difference in warmth, breathability and rain protection is incredible and at the same time it is so comfortable. I love that it has 6 pockets as my previous Trespass coat only has 2 which are very shallow and do not fasten. This coat has 2 zipped chest pockets - useful to pop my bus pass in. 2 deep patch pockets with velcro fastening and 2 side hand warmer pockets which are deep enough to hold my phone securely. I bought the grey colour which is really lovely. It's an unusual colour and not one I'd have though of to be honest if it hadn't been presented to me! It feels super smart but is also very practical. I've had loads of people saying how much they love it - and I do too! I'd say it's true to size. I'm a 10-12 and bought a medium so I can get a zipped hoodie underneath for when out walking. There's plenty of room even with a warm walking zippy underneath. Highly recommend this coat for so many reasons - super warm, very comfortable, stylish, breathable, waterproof.

Love this coat, lovely and warm. Feels heavy but not when you wear it. Like the cuffs keep your your wrists warm. Only thing missing is fleece pockets.

Oh my goodness! I have searched for a parka coat that has a quality smart look to it for ages - this is just superb. If you are on the fence about buying I would say go ahead, you will not be disappointed. Just perfect *****
