Preliminary Review
My neighbor complained about rain water coming from my property and asked me to direct my gutter water to a spot where it will flow into the street. I dug a trench about 18" and put 4" PVC pipe. My neighbor's trees dump a lot of leaves on my roof, and I didn't want a clog in a pipe 18" under ground so I wanted to install a gutter guard. I went to Lowe's to check out what they had. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of YouTube videos of professionals reviewing the available products. I settled on this. It's aluminum which, according to Frank Costanza, has a high strength to weight ratio. It screws in rather than just snapping in waiting to get blown away by the next heavy wind. And it doesn't tuck under the shingles thereby voiding the warranty from the new roof we just got. This is a preliminary review. The real test is going to be in October. I'll update this then. But there are a lot of things that can be said about this now. First is waterflow. I took one of these and held it under the faucet, and the water went straight through with a heavy flow. It will easily handle a heavy rainfall with no problem. Second, it's easy to install. It comes with screws AND a drill bit to fit the screws. You just install the gutter guards and then with a cordless drill. It's so easy it will make you feel like a master handyman. The only problem I had wit installation was the wasp nest that was already in the gutter. Yikes. Third is customer service. It's a small, family-owned, U.S. company. The product is made in the U.S. I think they're in New Jersey (got give 'em strength). I never had to call the customer service because they're so easy to install. They also have a feature whereby you can buy a sample piece for less than ten bucks to make sure they fit your gutter. These are being marketed to Harry Homeowner weekend warriors DIYers through Amazon. If you get the sample, they'll give you a coupon code for purchasing the product which is more than the cost of the sample piece so it's not ten buck down the drain. Follow Up: Well, the fall came and went. My neighbors' trees dumped a hundred pounds of leaves on my roof. But I didn't have a problem. They say that you still have to clean the leaves off the gutter guards, but I didn't have to. The leaves just fall right off. Not a single clog. Not a single problem. This is amazing. I mean, this is fantastic. Great product. By the way I only got it for the back of the house. I'm going to buy another 100 feet for the front now.

In My Estimation, This is an Excellent Product
I only qualify this with “in my estimation” because since installing these LeafTek gutter guards, they have not yet had the chance to perform their function. Though from my inspection of the product I have no reason to believe they will not when the time comes. They are very sturdy and seem to be produced to acceptable tolerances, consistent among themselves such that they came together quite easily when installing them. One thing I would deduct a couple of points for is that I was not provided with enough screws to follow the 5 screws/panel rubric as set forth in the instructions. I was only 2 short, but of course didn’t notice until I was nearing the installation of the last panel. I had 3 screws for the last panel so I was going to install what I had and just hope that was adequate. As I was installing the first screw into my final panel, a gust of wind blew the little baggie with the other 2 screws in it down and out into the alley behind my house. For as much as 3 might have been adequate, 1 was clearly not going to be. I climbed down off of my roof and went in search of the little baggie in my alley and was fortunate enough to find it. I climbed back up on my roof and finished installing the last panel. It has always been a puzzlement to me why companies that sell products that require some double or triple digit numbers of fasteners in order to assemble whatever the product is, don’t just as a standard practice throw in a single extra just for good measure. There have been times where I’ve dropped a screw down into a place where it couldn’t be retrieved, and it has happened with both scenarios, where I was supplied an extra, and when I wasn’t, and it made a world of difference in terms of the ease in which I completed them both. I gave this product 5 stars all the way, because I really do believe it is a quality product, and I was surprised at how well it fit onto my gutters and how easy it was to install. I’m just hoping the last of the panels truly is secure enough with only three screws.

Yew definitely worth your money, effort and time.
These perform higher than my expectations. I've tried the big box stores off the shelf gutter guards and they all were terrible. I did a lot of research into different gutter leaf guards, reviews, cost, installation instructions and techniques. These Leafetek gutter guards are a solid, legit, high performing gutter guard. I live I'm Chicagoland, installed these this past fall. Easy install once you dry-fit a few pieces in order to format a plan. Installing left to right or right to left made no difference to me. Some of my gutters, rather new ones, were not exactly even far as width. This challenged install by needing to maneuver and negotiate the gutter and guard to ensure fit prior to screwing guards in place. This was a fun and rewarding project. I installed on my house and separate 4 car garage. Far as performance... wow, no complaints. At all! Fall leaves, not a problem, did not collect, did not block. Bitter cold, snow and ice, yes a few icicles, less than prior to Leaftek gutter guards. Only a few. The design allowed melting to take place pretty quickly. No clogs or blockages. Spring downpours, and I mean heavy deluge of rain, not a problem. The Leaftek gutter guards kept up with demand, never overflowed, never was there more rain than these could handle. I am very impressed and super glad I ordered and installed them. I recommend angled aluminum cutting shears, cordless drill, tape measure, straight edge to ensure you are cutting correctly and a marker or similar for marking cut lines and corner points. I was intimidated by the measuring, cutting and screwing these to my gutters. After initial first few, it became pretty simple. A home DYIer can definitely install these on a single story home. Multiple stories I can not speak to installation, only to performance. I am very pleased. Wish I did this years ago.

Great gutter guards but please include more screws!
These gutter guards installed very easily, look great. and work well. The holes are small enough to keep all needles and tree crud out while letting all the water through. I would have given these 5 stars but there was only ONE small bag of screws, not three like the picture in the product description page shows. The included magnetic 1/4" inch nut driver works very well. I had to buy two boxes of Hillman Self-Piercing #7x1/2" white screws on Amazon to complete the job. So please LeafTek, include more screws!

Great product and fair price.
The filters are super easy to install and exactly as advertised. Great product for a fair price. Actually came up a little short on product. Called the phone number provided in the box and someone responded quickly to help me out. Great company with a great product. Will save me a lot of time in the future!

So far - Very Happy with this Quality Product
We live on a corner lot with many trees and this is our first year in a new home. A month ago my wife informed me that there were waterfalls coming from our gutters during a heavy rain. I inspected the gutters and they were packed to the gills with wet leaves, pine straw, funky caterpillar looking seeds, you name it. I removed two large garbage bags full of heavy wet crap from my gutters. I knew I had to do something so I started researching solutions. I seriously considered this product based upon the numerous excellent reviews. I initially ordered the sample to see how it fit my gutters. It popped right in and shortly thereafter I ordered 200'. So far I have completed one small section of the house around the screened in porch. The corners were a bit tricky at first but I think I've got that down now. I do not like climbing ladders but I purchased a LG 17' articulating ladder just for this job (of course it will come in handy for many other jobs in the future). With this ladder I was able to reach my gutters with the ladder in the a-frame position which I believe is much more steady and thus safer than leaning the ladder against the gutters. I think this was an overall good investment because just having someone clean your gutters costs a couple of hundred dollars and having someone install gutter guards costs thousands! The product arrived quickly and was well packaged. I was initially going to order white, because my gutters are white, but after reading the comments I decided on black. You cannot see the covers from the ground so I am very happy I chose black. We had a good rain the other day and the Leaftek gutter guards performed well. However, the real test will be in the spring (pollen) and the fall (tons of leaves). I plan to install the remaining product soon and will revise this post in the spring or fall. I will also add photos Recommendation for Leaftek. I have tons of corners on my gutter system. Have you thought about manufacturing and selling "corners?" This would make installation much easie and result in less waste and frustration. You could sell sets of corners separately from the straights.

Pretty Perfect
So after reviewing all the old, ineffective types of gutter guards that were on my house, I decided to buy these and I'm glad I did. Time will tell how these will perform but I feel super confident that these will be very effective with the type of leaves and other things that fly off the trees along the back of my home. Anything with a rough surface is just like velcro to the stuff that comes off my trees. These are smooth with pretty small holes so I think the will be far better than most products on the market to keep thing off and out the gutter. They screw in so they're not going anywhere. Thin, but rigid, nicely painted. The black color, they will be better to have in the winter as they will heat up faster. They look very nice IMHO, nice clean look to them. My pics were as I was installing them. It's a shame no one can see them, lol. They are very easy to install, instructions, plenty of screws and a drill bit provided. You'll need a good pair of tin snips to cut them though. Took me hour and a half to remove the old guards, blow the gutters out with a leaf blower and install approximately 60ft on the first floor. The second floor probably will take longer. My only recommendation would be to change to a smoother rounded screw, for same reason as above, prevent things from getting stuck. Despite that, I'm very happy with these!! I definitely will be buying another 100' to finish off the rest of my house.

Not enough screws
Okay... I looked at several products and chose LeafTEK Gutter Guards because I think they are the best value and quality available. And I think a lot of thought went into designing them to capture the most water and not leaves. The product has good rigidity and the drain holes are a good size (not screen, where water would just sluice over the screen) but not too large (leaf stems would be hard pressed to enter the holes and get stuck - time will tell) allowing water to drop into the gutter. The sections also have baffles pressed in the metal length wise to help disrupt the water when flowing across the panel to provide more opportunity to slow the water enough to drop into the drain holes and not flow straight across and over the gutter. I purchased 5" X 200' box (4' sections) and used all but 20'. Installation was quick and straight forward. I anticipated one issue when I ordered the Gutter Guard; not enough fasteners. I believe GG suggests 4 fasteners per 4' section (3 front 1 back). In the perfect world 4 would suffice - barely. I purchase an extra 3 boxes (150 fasteners; 50/box) when I ordered the Gutter Guard, figuring 7 fasteners per section (4 front; 1 each end and 2 in the field and 3 back; 1 each end and 1 in center). The sections do not overlap and therefore the fasteners cannot perform double duty by holding down abutting sections (two sections at the ends with 1 fastener at each end). And I used almost all the fasteners. So unless you have the perfect gutters in a perfect world order additional fasteners - 150 to be exact. That is less than 1 fastener per foot when ordering the 200' box.
