Spigen Liquid Air Designed for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Case (2018) - Matte Black

Spigen is my go-to brand for quality phone cases, so I was happy to find that they still had one available for the Note 9. I was using the phone without a case for a bit after tossing the old one, but it'd always be sliding off the sofa arms; it doesn't anymore with the slight texture and pattern on this case, which gives it a nice grip. I was concerned about the pattern catching gunk too easily, but it still looks new. It also has good scratch resistance, as I'm not gentle with it, and I've run my nails across it various times, because the texture's amusing. The case is super easy to remove, but it's still perfectly fitting and secure. All cutouts are perfectly aligned, and the way that the button cutouts are actually prevent accidental activation, even while propping it up on the buttons - brilliant design. I do somewhat miss the kickstand that the case from Samsung had, but it's so much more streamlined this way in a nice super dark gray that complements the phone well.

Is it just me, or have third-party cases been improving exponentially over the past few years? I've owned dozens of smartphones and even more cases, screen protectors, and accessories. As a disclaimer, I'm the “screen protector from day one” type. I resell all of my phones on eBay, Swappa, or Craigslist. So keeping them in pristine condition is my number one priority. But I'm also someone who's concerned about the functionality of my phones (especially as an Uber Driver) and find aesthetics important. With all that being said, this Spigen Liquid Armor Case is the perfect product for my Pixel 6a. To start, this case doesn't impede any of the functionality of my phone. The front is raised slightly, so that when placing my phone face down, the screen won't touch the surface below. But it also doesn't have an annoying lip that would impede your touch screen experience. In addition, the buttons and back are textured to aid gripping, without using a material that sticks to your pants pockets (the most annoyingly common case-flaw). I actually find this “Liquid Armor” texture to be very pleasant and oddly satisfying. It's almost like having a fidget toy. You will have to experience it to understand what I mean. Next, the green color I selected is perfect. Dark green phones were once all the rage. I'm not sure why that era ended so quickly, but I always have a case on anyway, so I suppose it doesn't matter. Regardless, this shade of green is exactly what I've been looking for. And finally, the most important functionality of a case is protection. Fortunately, this case is very solid and robust. I've already dropped my phone several times, with zero damage sustained due to this Spigen case. Importantly, the case still feels very lightweight and thin – it's not like one of those terrible Otter Box cases. I've always preferred Spigen as a technology-case brand, and it seems they're still upping their game. I previously had a transparent, Google branded case for my 6a – and it was terrible in every way imaginable. I couldn't stand the thing. Likewise, I've also tried off-brand cases, and they're always frustratingly bad. Avoid the annoyance and go with a recognized and syndicated case brand. You will not regret it.

Buttons feels great and tactile in the case and it's got a raised outer ridge that helps the front screen from being scratched up. Easy to put and and has great fitment. I've bought from Spigen before and I think they're the top brand to protect your phone. Their cases last a long time, and make your phone feel premium.

Good quality, has raised edges surrounding face, but does not provide serious drop protection, I knew this when I bought it. I wanted, good fit, grippy, slim, good looking & that's what I got.

Pros: This has been an excellent phone case. It fits all the buttons extremely well, it’s comfortable to hold, It’s beautiful on my gold phone, And it’s adorable. The edges are raised around the phone front and around the camera, and I’ve dropped the phone many times without much damage. I do have some cracks on my screen protector. Cons: I don’t recommend this with a mag charger. The mag charger rapidly discolors (turns dark) in the area where the phone sits on it. Two things I’ve been able to do with the case: When traveling and on a cruise ship, I have stuck a key card between the phone and the case, which has made it easy to carry around. Also, my husband bought me an EMF protector, which I’ve been able to fit in between the case and the phone on the back. It’s a little thick, so it distorts the back of the case, but the case still fits just fine over the buttons.

Seems to be nice quality. It's flexible, soft, and fits like a glove. Slightly thinner than my last but I like that. My phone doesn't feel quite as big.

Fit my 6.7" Galaxy Note20 5g perfectly. It's slightly matte but doesn't feel sticky. Not to slippery either and it's super thin. I don't like bulky cases. And I usually don't get cases that cover the side buttons because they make it harder to push the side buttons but this case makes it feel like they're not even covered. The design is also nice. Highly recommend.

Very versatile and durability is fab

Normalerweise nutze ich immer das schwarze "Thin Fit" Case von Spigen. Dieses passt wie angegossen, trägt nur minmal auf und bietet den nötigen Grip. Leider ist das momentan noch nicht verfügbar. Deshalb habe ich mir diese Hülle bestellt. Sie bietet ebenfalls eine exzellente Passform, sieht gut aus und fühlt sich hochwertig an. Zudem bietet sie durch das TPU Material und den Rundumschutz mehr Sicherheit. Leider ist das Material rutschiger als bei der "Thin Fit" und das Gerät wird etwas wuchtiger.

Dropped my phone more than 10 times, not a dent. Stylish as well and durable. Would recommend and buy again!
