We purchased this time out mat in hopes of introducing consequences to our toddler. If he disobeys multiple times, we put him on the time out mat for 30 seconds and then explain to him why we put him on the mat. Next time he does it we ask him why we put him on the Thought Spot and he verbalizes what he did wrong. The mat seems of very high quality. It's also decently sized at 24" so we can plop our little guy down in the middle, but if he moves a bit, he's still on it. All in all, we are happy with our purchase and have noticed marked improvement in behavior because of this new tool.

Perfect size. Robot vacuum goes over it. Always points to his head to think about it when we tell him to go think about it.

Very good for families that travel. Take the looming threat of timeout with you everywhere you go. Vacation, grand parents house, even the playground if you’re mean. Also comes with a guide on how to administer time outs correctly as a form of behavior correction instead of a punishment. Good buy.

I love this mat. I purchased it for my puppy. I wanted something to place train her and I wanted it to be portable. This is perfect! It's bright and sturdy. It's also easy to clean and folds up nicely to store in the little pouch for easy transport.

It’s ok. Basically a piece of felt

We love our "thought spot" because it provides a defined area when our kids are in time out. We've had it several months and it lives up to no slip, there have been many tantrums thrown on it but its stayed put. It has also survived being cleaned several times after our 2 year old decided to pee on it.

My kiddos desperately needed a time out, and I was afraid to get anything bigger, as my youngest had anger issues and throws things. This doesn't damage much of anything when thrown which is great. My 3 year old still sits where the spot was after he throws it, so I'm not correcting him much at this point for throwing it. I do mention it after I go to talk with him.

The mat is durable, the stickers a nice touch, the timer, poor quality and works inconsistently, otherwise, great concept.
