Is it possible to sync the 32ft bt strips with the 16ft bt strips so that they all work like one, instead of having to control them seperately?

Even with the Govee app you can group your lights and create a 'Scheme' where they'll sync the same color, gradient or will mimic the color of an image but they will not sync with music played from the same device. Example., I play a song from spotify on an iPhone, I navigate to the Govee app and select both of my lights under their "grouping" when selecting "mic" the lights only sync with sounds from the phone not sounds from the actual lights. Audio also will not play to a bluetooth device if you connect to your lights before connecting to your audio source. This may however be on Apple/Android.

how can i shorten the LED strip?

I only needed about 20 feet of LED strip for my window that I bought the 32.8 ft set for. I didn't want all the the excess hanging down or piled on the window sill, so I cut the 2nd strip to remove the excess. My shortened strip works perfectly. As long as you cut it at one of the 3 copper wire points that others have also mentioned, it should be okay to shorten the strip.

Can you cut and reconnect these lights like you can with the Philip's hue lights to install under my kitchen cabinets?

Keep in mind that I might have been lucky. Or maybe there's been a change to the product (end of 2022) since this original question was asked (beginning of 2020). I managed to cut and connect a few segments from both strands to slightly extend one of them. All LEDs light up. The only potential issue you might face is that if the segments aren't in order, certain lighting effects may not look correct. Here's exactly what I did in case anyone has this scenario themselves: I had a project where I wanted to add backlighting to a set of panels installed on a wall. I had 2 issues. 1) I needed to split the strips into 4 different segments, one for each panel, and connect them with extension wires. This was straightforward and worked perfectly by cutting the strand into segments at the copper connection points. I just connected them in he same order and everything worked fine. 2) I needed about 5 feet of additional length added to the end of one of the strands. I cut the segment length I needed from the end of the second spindle (again cutting on the copper connection points), and directly wired these to the end of the other strand. Again, it worked fine. Everything lights up. Your mileage may vary, and I suspect that part of my success with the additional length is that it was relatively short.

Can these be cut to shorten?

Yes they can. I only needed about 20 feet of the 32.8 ft set that I bought for my living room window. I cut the excess all one of the points where there are 3 copper wires and the lights work perfectly.
