I foster cats, so my babies range from just learning to use a pan to cats who may not have been using them regularly prior to coming here (street cats, etc....). With this mat, not only does it really minimize the amount of litter all over the place, but if they miss a bit, or drag some of whatever out of the box with them, it's no big deal, easy to take outside and hose down. It cleans up amazingly, no odor left on the mat at all and have not had issues with subsequent cats going in the same spot where there was an "accident" on the mat. The cats don't mind walking on it at all, and it has held up even to a few who decided it was a scratchable/chewable addition to their playroom. Low profile, nice neutral color. 10 stars for sure! Was recommended by a couple of my fellow foster folks, and have passed on the recommendation with no hesitation.

It does work well and as expected but my cats still track litter all over the house even with this down. It will not fix the problem of litter tracking completely. If your cat vomits on it, it is not easy to clean but I would recommend it.

So, my wife and I have 3 cats. You may think that we love cats, but in reality it's becoming more and more clear that we really just hate ourselves and having a clean house. No matter how much you sweep, mop and vacuum, you will always have litter scattered about your home, ESPECIALLY if your boxes are on tile/wood like ours.UNLESS...You buy these litter mats. We have 4 boxes, 2 side-by-side downstairs and 2 side-by-side upstairs. These mats are wide enough that both boxes fit on one mat, and while litter occasionally escapes the confines of the litter trap, it is easily 90% better. I ordered one, and the day after I received it I ordered the second one, they are THAT good. They do a great job of catching the litter and emptying out is simple. Should the cats ever pee on the mats, I soak them in BioKleen and rinse off with a hose and they're good as new.If you're thinking of buying this, just do it and stop wasting time reading this review!

I bought this mat to catch all the little granuals that fly out of the Cat Genie box with my cats - it works beautifully for that. One of my cats got sick and was having accidents before she could make it into the box - it worked beautifully for that. My only qualms are that it is not as wide as I thought it would be (my fault, I didn't measure my area) so the cats just jump off the side of the Cat Genie where the mat doesn't reach and those granuals still get all over and the bottom is a bit slippery so it doesn't stay in place well unless you can wedge it under the edge of the litterbox. We cannot wedge it under because the Cat Genie has to be level to work correctly. I will be buying the same type of mat but the larger size (you can even connect extra pieces) I found somewhere else. So - great mat just not big enough for my needs!

I use non-clumping clay litter in two boxes for two cats. Previously I just set the boxes near a rubberized mat or plastic backed blanket. Of course litter would track everywhere if I did not clean up daily. These new mats do a much more effective job of catching stray litter and locking it in place. The hole sizing seems to be just fine for clay litter, which tends to have larger particles than clumping styles. Now the vast majority of the litter gets caught in the mat and I can go a week or more before I have to empty the mat back into the box.The mats do ship folded which puts creases in the material, so they won't lie flat when they are unpacked. I followed the manufacturer recommendations to lay them flat and compress them under weight for several days...this helped the folds relax. Other reviewers who've complained about this as an issue likely did not give the mats enough time to flatten out or did not use enough weight to compress them, I probably used 100 lbs or more to compress and let that set for a solid 4 days. They lay perfectly flat now...no issues.

Very affordable and easy to use just wish it was a bigger size all in all its amazing at making sure litter doesn’t touch the floor and very easy to clean

Love these mats! I bought two, so easy to clean up after my cats. They used to leave small pieces of kitty litty all over the floor after using, now all the mess comes off onto the mats and i can just pick up easy and clean out, saves alot of time.

Traps most of the litter and less time cleaning.

Too small, Jumbo size it's nothing compared to my kitty litter box.

Fantastic if your cat likes kicking cat litter out of the box like mine. Only downside is that you can't really remove the litter from the mat because it goes everywhere. Regardless, it picks up litter exceptionally.

Absolutely useless!! Didn’t trap ANY litter infact it made it much much worse.Mat is different lengths underneath and doesn’t properly seal either. I got a paws n claws mat instead and I am way happier with that purchase.
