A Twin over full is perfect for kids room. A full over full would have blocked part of window and ladder is straight up. With Twin over Full the ladder is on nice angle, has better support at bottom, and does not block the window.honestly, I want to give this 4.5 stars. My only deduction comes from lack of stable plate for post connections between twin legs and short posts off the full bed. Also, the bed REALLY needs to L brackets to bolt the top bed to the wall, at least for my kids. A trip to home depot solved these very minor issues, yet is fair to call them out so others are prepared.That said, for the price, I have ZERO complains, love the beds. We bought the Juniper Kids Mattresses from our local "warehouse", which are firm enough for guests too and right thickness to be safe and fit under ladder without giving up comfort when they get older and heavier:recommend use Juniper Kids Mattresses Twin/Full Set Medium-firm feel. 6-inch height for this bunk bed.Oh, also finding sheets was hard too, as I wanted them to fit snug. I found those here on Amazon, they are RV sheets, so work perfectly on 6" thick mattress. Search for "Linenwala 4 PC Bedding sheet set 6" Deep pocket"This bunk bed (plus 3 brackets from home depot) with right mattress and sheets is absolutely perfect, safe, and comfortable.

The bed itself is awesome just make sure you read the directions well because there's some parts that you really have to put together a certain way

The bed looks fine, but honestly, is pretty poorly built. The footboard cracked when an adult moved on the bed (not aggressively).

Update: 10 months later, broken! Same spot that others have posted about. My kid is 110lbs, never horsed around on it. Just broke one day...Original review: l early but so far I'm impressed. I was kinda worried reading some of the reviews but after receiving the bed... I bet most, not all but most of the people having issues was from user error. I can see an inexperienced person might over tighten a bolt/screw, lose track of a piece or put a piece in the wrong spot. If you're handy/mechanically inclined, buy with confidence. Will update if things change.

Created a bunk room for our grandsons! It is perfect!

I bought this bunk bed a week ago and after assembly it looks very nice and It works perfect for my 7 year old and myself. I was very pleased with the assembly service too. The bunk bed is just like it look in the picture.

We purchased this in March and by July there was a crack in the bottom bed and is now cracked all the way through. We followed the weight guidelines but this is not worth the money spent. Very disappointed

Product looks good but after 1 year one of the side boards broke. Very poor quality wood used.
