Regretfully, after using this for a week, I have had to return it. The charger and Apple Watch both get very, VERY hot during normal use. This is clearly not right, seeing as the warming which occurs with the official Apple charger is so slight that you need to press the back of the watch against your lips to make sure you’re not imagining it.This is intended to be used overnight at the bedside. Lithium batteries and extreme heat are a bad combination and it’s clearly not fit for purpose for that reason. I do not trust it near my head while I sleep. Additionally, the heat itself indicates that the Apple Watch battery is being harmed long-term by the charging process. The lifespan of the battery will be reduced slightly with every charge cycle (assuming it doesn’t just ignite).A shame, because it was otherwise perfect.** Original Review Follows **Great little product... and little is the operative word. There’s no unnecessary showboating here, it’s a tiny and neat device that keeps your Watch in nightstand orientation and charges it via the inbuilt USB cable, meaning you can use your Apple-supplied Watch cable as a travel charger.The dock has a slightly grippy foot and a tiny, mercifully dim red light at the front to indicate that it’s powered on.Using it with my Watch Series 4... which recognises the dock as a certified accessory and charges from it as normal.So far so good, I couldn’t be more pleased! The only thing that lets this dock down at all is the really short cable. Since it’s a built-in cable you are stuck with the length you’re given, unless you have a USB extension cable laying around. And no plug is supplied, but I suspect most people buying this thing will have plenty of places to plug in USB chargers.

Beware, this will not charge your watch with a protective cover fitted, unlike the Apple one, hence the low rating. You have to remove the cover for it to charge the watch. This isn’t clear in the advertising. Otherwise not a bad charger.

It’s a nice looking little device and seemed to fit the brief: Simple, a stand for the watch and will charge it over night. The description says it’s compatible with the Series 4 watch but I’m not convinced that can be right. It managed 2 of the items, it is simple and acts like a stand, but it doesn’t charge properly. You put your watch on the stand and the charge icon comes up. However after just a couple of minutes the device is no longer charging and any power transfer is negligible.I just wish I’d bought this when the watch arrived instead of when I ordered it, so I could send it straight back.

Small and good looking, I like how the charger is built into the device. Night stand mode works too, and it doesn't take up as much room on the bedside table as the one apple sells on its website seems too (its also a lot cheaper).Recomended. (Used with Apple Watch Series 2 if it helps)

One of the best Apple Watch chargers I could of purchased, the easy installation to the simplistic design looks very sleek and excellent, great manufacturing job, feels very durable and to a good standard build! One of the best products I’ve tried and defiantly worth the pennies!

I used this product to charge my Apple Watch and it’s incredibly good it charges it really fast just 20 mins and my watch is fully charged and ready to use for the whole day

Better than the original charger which comes with the watch! The stand actually holds the watch in place and it’s easy to use as a bedside clock when on the stand. The charging lead is included.

The first couple of weeks this was working fine, but all seems to have changed. Now you place on charge and the green charging indicator shows on the watch. Then after 2 minutes or so the charge stops!! very frustrating and now my return window has past meaning I'm lumbered with no support to rectify.
