Need Shine-Through Keycaps in More Than One Colorway, Available Now & at a Great Price? Look here...
I got these to upgrade the looks and performance of my good old Keychron K4 RGB V2 keyboard. The keyboard was acquired by used me via ebay and was in relatively good shape, but the OEM keycaps had a profile I didn't really like. Additionally, the shine-through on them wasn’t' all that good and they all had a case of oily-sheen wear that showed their true age in keyboard years. There’s a certain freedom in the acquisition of older, quality keyboards like this; I got mine for $25 with shipping, so how wrong can you go? It opens the door to tape, foam, keycap and switch mods too because the price of admission for all of this ends up being less than other more high-end keyboards currently available, even at Amazon prices. Another thing that you’ll get is the satisfaction of crafting the typing experience you desire; I wanted less “clack,” more “thock,” better key feel and overall appearance. I got all of this with these keycaps as part of the foundation of my project and implementing all of the above. Enter the XVX Shine Through Keycaps. These keycaps are good-quality, double-shot PBT units with decent thickness. They also have clear legends, and the 133-key set provides enough keycaps to care for variations in key function choice and key location across many popular layouts. The cherry profile is my personal favorite and these are a great version, having a nice feel and texture. Their sizing was just right for my project and gave me no surprises with switch attachment or keyboard bezel fit. I chose the Classic Red colorway, as I am a very patriotic veteran and liked how they looked. The keycaps are unbelievably inexpensive and available NOW. I compare this to my recent group buy-in for another keycap set in an amount over $250, and I won't get my hands on them (maybe) until mid-summer of this year. I am not trying to equate the two situations, just to contrast them in terms of price vs. availability. If you have more of a budget build project, these keycaps tick all of the boxes. The shine-through performance is very good and gives great visibility ion low-light conditions. Alternatively, they provide good visibility in well-lit conditions as well, as the legends have enough built-in contrast to allow the keys to be easily read at a glance. This is in stark contrast to the OEM keycaps; their worn sheen made legend recognition a bit difficult for me, and their shine-through performance left much to be desired. Finally, the sound was also very much improved; the XVX keycaps lowered the pitch of the typing sound, and the rigid Keychron PCB lent itself quite well to a layer of masking tape and foam tape. The OEM keycaps had a very cheap, hollow sound that I didn’t like at all, so this was a great improvement. This gave the board a crisp, thocky pop to every keystroke, which was exactly what I wanted to accomplish. I kept the original Gateron reds which have a clear body that passes the RGB well and easily lights the keycaps. I also lightly lubed all of the stabilizers and now I have a genuine Keychron keyboard I love to use for a total price under $45 that can’t be bought anywhere for any price. This is the best part of the mechanical keyboard hobby; you have an infinite choice of bits and pieces to build exactly what you want. There is an irresistible charm to me in building these projects; although I do have more than my fair share of “high-end” keyboards, I don’t really mess with them on account of their cost. It’s similar to owning an older, desirable sports car; for example, the OEM exhaust system rusts out. You can now upgrade to a superior aftermarket exhaust system to achieve better overall results, and you can do it yourself. Final verdict: 5 Stars, hands down. These keycaps can't be beat for any of your budget-friendly keyboard customization and modding projects, and come in a good range of attractive colorways, all at an unbeatable price point and delivered at Amazon Prime speed. These helped make my classic Keychron great again, give them a try for your project. Thanks for reading, enjoy and God bless. A++

Fun to type on, high-quality keycaps
These are block style/marshmallow keycaps that look good and feel great to type on. The color matched perfectly with the keyboard I put them on. They are a nice cream color and the print on the keycaps is large. They fit a full-sized keyboard. They were easy to install and are a high-quality product. This was a nice upgrade to my keyboard. These sound great too! These do not have shine through but are the RGB from the keyboard is still visible and looks nice. Highly recommend if you’re looking to upgrade the look and feel of your keyboard. These were a great value for the price.

Decent, but not exactly what I was looking for
They fit...they're fairly easy to install with the included puller. The coffee-themed colors are nice. The price is right, too. However, the legends don't let light shine through as much as I thought they would.

Creamy | Thocky | Thick | Crisp Legends | Very Good Quality!
A hidden gem in the sea of inexpensive keycaps! These are now my fave keycaps. I won't mention other makers that I have sets from, but they cost about 4 times as much as these. They sound and feel great with my blend of Gateron Melodic Clicky on all alphas and a blend of Gateron G Pro Reds and Gateron Baby Kangaroo 2.0 on other keys. Legends are crisp, clear, and consistent. The fit is tight, and I mean tight! Thickness is about 1.5-1.6mm; measured with a mechanical caliper. Set comes with a few height variations on the profile for "PGUP", "PGDN", etc. I decided to take a big leap and try something different than Cherry profile caps and these are the bee knees IMHO. My WPM hasn't really increased by much with these and typos are fewer, but I'm still getting used to the feel of these. The profile is just the best I've ever tried. Like I said though, that's my opinion. Keycaps and switches are very subjective and the only way you're ever gonna find out what you really like is to try some out. As far as sound, they sound very good with the Melodics for sure. Little bit of click and thock. I'm using them on a Keychron Q5 which I had done several sound mods to and have since removed all of them except for a couple of layers of masking tape on the bottom of the case. I've also deadened the space bar a bit. I use dabs of hot glue a little at a time until I get the sound and feel I want from a spacebar. Haven't had a spacebar yet that didn't need mods. Also, the creamy color goes well with the sound profile and my blue Keychron. Can't go wrong with these caps. I love 'em!!!!

Not shine through!
The first issue is that even though these say shine through, they don't really transmit any light up through the keyboard LEDs. This is a big problem with the purple keys because they are impossible to read without the light shining through. The other issue I have is that these are really tight to get on and off the switches and I actually pulled out a couple switches trying to change keys around. The texture and feel were okay though. These might work if you have alternates for the purple keys.

Stylish and feel great
These are my first MDA profile keycaps, and I'm impressed! Very stylish set; great color, matte finish with just a hint of sheen. Feel good, too - not too slick, but not overly textured either. I paired mine with a Royal Kludge RK84 (Macchiato White) and Zhouwang Golden Autumn silent tactiles, and I'm very happy with the appearance, feel and sound of this combo.

Low quality but they look nice.
inexpensive, but also quite low quality. The caps are very thin and light, and you will feel how thin and light they are while typing. They're also very short, not in terms of profile at the installed height, but the bottom of the caps are ~2-4mm shorter than any other caps I own. This makes them look very 'floaty'. Due to their being so light and thin, they have a very distinct cheap hollow sound when typing, which is a bit off-putting. It's particularly bad in the central keys which were shaved down even more aggressively and have even less weight. Some of the caps are loose enough on the switches that they'll actually fall off with a hard upside-down shake. Others are so tight that they'll pull out the whole switch with them when removing. Does not include any caps for upper-right 4 keys on fullsized boards. There are extra caps to use, but nothing with media, volume, or ambiguous legends. So your media keys will say DEL END PGUP PGDN, etc... For someone who is particular about the sound of their keys and wants them to have a substantial feel and consistent weight, I would not recommend they buy these caps. For light use with a heavy emphasis on aesthetics, these are fine enough. They do look nice with and without backlight, so I'm not totally unhappy with them.

Nice caps
If you want shine through caps with a muted darker looks these are a great option. I really liked how the colors looked and they give a kind of relaxing feeling to the keyboard.

初期型Apex proには対応しません!!
APEX PRO(初期型2019~2022)には対応しませんでした。ハマるにはハマるのですが真上から押せば奥までキーが沈むのですが、横から押すと何かに引っ掛かりながら沈みます。実用的ではないです。他にも押すと戻ってこないキーもあります。気をつけてください!!

Don’t buy if you have south facing leds!
These do not shine through at all they are getting returned if you have north facing leds they might work but having south facing these do not work. I’m done with shine throughs its impossible to find a good shine through keycap just going to go with regular key caps now.
