Gilmour 816733-1001 Head Impulse Sprinkler on Polymer Base

Works great and has great coverage. Make sure you know your water pressure if you use multi spiget & run multiple sprinklers

This model has an all metal sprinkle head for long term service. I have previously purchased the cheaper plastic sprinkler units but they tend to break easily and are almost impossible to repair. This all metal sprinkler holds up against accidental drops. The sprinker head covers a wide range of yard and is adjustable, my coverage is over 40 feet radially from the sprinkler. The base is somewhat light weight and other shoppers have had problems with the sprinkler moving. I did not experience any problems with the sprinkler staying where it was placed in the grass. On a hard surface the sprinkler may move depending on your water pressure. My water supply is in excess of 70 psig.

I own at least five different makes of impulse type sprinklers, all of which water my large lawn equally well, but allhave one common bothersome design in that changing coverage settings is basically a "trial and error" operationuntil you get the setting that you want. It isn't an "end of the world as we know it" problem but it IS a guessing game each time that you want to change the coverage setting. Gilmour has eliminated the guessing game by providing asimple adjustable coverage setting wheel with coverage indicators. A GREAT design and a quality product!!

Had an older all plastic model for 3 years, worked great and decided to get two more. This is not the same product, it has a metal sprinkler head and does not work well. It works properly about 20% of the time. The rest of the time it gets stuck in one position and will not sweep properly. Very frustrating. Always had good luck with all Gilmour products until now. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

I love these sprinklers! We have a 1/3 acre lot with no sprinkling system and purchased 3 of these to water. The sprinklers have great flexibility regarding pattern and also spray distance. I have been able to use them for every part of our yard with no problems. Simply set, then make minor adjustments. The sprinklers are heavy duty and stay stationary. I am very happy with these sprinklers and would definitely buy them again.

more of a novelty than a tool

Pretty good product but is not as stable as I wanted. Also if pressure is a bit low it will get stuck on its current positions. I only bring this up because that doesnt happen with other sprinklers of the same price range I have and bought on amazon. Its definitely useful and will get the job done, but I like my other sprinkler better,

So far it has been meeting my expectations. Great product well designed. Adjustments of water work well.Very happy and I recommend
