An excellent read...
Well worth having... There is a pleasing depth to the analysis of landmark models which gives a valuable insight into the workings of what was, once, possibly the most innovative car company around. The lack of coverage of later models is understandable given the premise of the book " Daring to be different" The later models have simply become mainstream and while not without merit, are a pale imitation of their forerunners...

DS Citroen
Excellent info for the best car in the world. I've owned five of the DS model the past 50 years starting in 1965 when I traded in a 1963 Austin Healey for class, grace and pace.

Full of interest
These books from the Haynes Classic Makes series are very good indeed. As a mechanical engineer, I am turned off by the superficial technical coverage contained in so many 'coffee table' car books but this book on the Citroen is not of that ilk. It gives equal emphasis to engineering, styling, design and marketing aspects of the models covered, yet is written in very accessible language and should not put off the novice. My only regret is that it gives such short shrift to the PSA era cars, of which the XM, for all its early faults, contained a huge amount of technical innovation. There is no coverage at all of Citroens after the BX and XM.
