Great little radio. I have been running them for a while on my repeater without any issue's. Good clarity, range, and battery life. I primarily use low power and have no problem hitting the repeater. The reports on the sound quality always come back good. They programmed right up using RT systems cable and bf-888s program. If you need a good inexpensive radio you do not worry about this is it. I bought these on my own. Will give a report power output when I get a chance. Update: I tested the output and they are as follows, low power 1watt/ high power 2 watts. This is the same as my other radios in this class.

Liked the first pair we recently bought so much that we decided to purchase another set! We now have a total of 4. These two way radios work exceptionally well. They are lightweight, durable and have awesome range (up to 2 miles no problem!). We live in a heavily wooded mountainous terrain area and have no problems communicating up to 2 miles. We primarily use these two to communicate with our 8 yr old son while he's riding bikes in the area, playing in the woods or walking/riding his bike to friends houses. We liked them so much that I ended up purchasing a second pair to use as alternative communication when we have cell service outages. I put extended antennas (15" LUITON NA-771) on a pair and was able to extend the range to about 4 miles in heavily wooded mountainous terrain. We also plan to use thm hiing and camping. Awesome UHF handheld walkie talkies for the price!

Excellent two way radios. Separate chargers, and lithium-ion batteries are a definite plus. Having a charger for each radio is most convenient when the radios are normally kept apart. The range is excellent for the small size. The drop-in chargers are very convenient for charging the built in lithium-ion battery. An LED shows red while the radio is charging and turns green when fully charged. I'm happy to report there are no blue LEDs. When you first turn on the radio a pleasant voice says "Power on". As you change channels the voice will simply announce the channel number. You always know what channel you are on. Another good feature is that the radio can still receive while charging. There is a battery, belt clip, headset, antenna and plug-in wall charger for each radio- everything is included! These 16 channel radios are ready to use as soon as you charge the battery. The transmission range easily met my needs and I was using them in a very metal/steel heavy environment. For this price you really cannot go wrong. I am sure that it would be faster, easier and less expensive to just purchase a replacement instead of having one repaired if it were to break.

My family uses these around town to communicate. It has been nice when the power or cell towers are down. Easy to operate and just so simple the kids can use them.

Bought these for a camping trip this past weekend with the family. My 16 yr old was taking his truck and following us with the dogs. I thought it'd be good to have a set of radios since we would be places where there was very limited cell service, if any at all. Driving 100' behind me with no obstructions and no vehicles between us, it was extremely difficult to hear him on the radio. The transmissions were breaking up pretty bad and we could only make out a few words. We changed channels several times and tried again, same thing. Not sure what's considered "long range" according to their description, but if it can't make it 100' between cars, I have no need for them.

Very impressed with the quality for the price. We bought these for an upcoming camping trip for the long range capability and it worked like a charm. Probably one the best walkie talkies I’ve owned. The clarity is impressive. Doesn’t have all the crazy buttons which I like. Very simple to use and would definitely be buying 2 more soon so the whole family can have one for the next trip.
