Minty liquorice
I really liked these liquorice wheels, they have a slight minty taste to them which is not unpleasant and makes them unique, I will buy them again

Different taste.
I have bought these several times as I love them. Sadly this recent package is different, the heels taste different and unfortunately not in a pleasant way. They are not for me sadly, but I`m hoping someone in my family will enjoy them. The taste is similar to a minted taste, but not as nice. A shame as every other one has been delicious.I will not be buying these again, and unfortunately can not recommend them.

NOT Liquorice!!!!
The strange smell immediately gave away that this IS NOT Liquorice although I'd already noticed that there is no English list of ingredients despite the back of the bag, the size of an A4 sheet of paper, being covered with ingredients in various other languages & also despite it claiming they're an importer for Australia & New Zealand. This product is made in Dubai by someone who has seen but apparently never tasted liquorice, is totally unaware of the existence of natural liquorice root & liquorice flavor, although note, nowhere on the packaging do they claim that this is liquorice!!!! The smell is very strange, more a spicy fragrance or a spice shop abroad, where all the spices are in bowls or sacks out in the open, than anything resembling liquorice. The wheels are a dark brown rather than black on the outside & brown inside. The texture is also off, more like a gummy sweet than normal liquorice & when you first try it, there's strangely no flavour; that comes later as a spicy after taste that builds like eating fresh chillies!! Having tried 3 of the wheels over 45 mins, or so, unrolling & nibbling at them, with gaps between each wheel, hoping the flavour would grow on me (especially considering it's a 1kg bag!) I realised the spicy aftertaste had grown to a tingling of my tongue that then grew to a tingling, almost numb sensation of my whole mouth & throat that's still present over an hour later. Leaving the room, upon coming back in I realised the smell had completely filled the room too, despite having tucked in the top of the bag to close it. I'm not over exaggerating & love hot food, happily eating fresh of pickled chillis with curry & chilli meals, as well as in sandwiches & with things like nachos. Also note the ridiculously LONG list of ingredients, most of which are artificial additives; I would be intrigued to learn if all are approved for use/sale in Europe & the UK, it wouldn't surprise me at all if that wasn't the case....& I've got 1kg of the stuff!!! 😨 Learn for my mistake &, unless you specifically want 'Drawing Smiles' that you've previously had in Dubai, AVOID!!!!

Liquorice wheels…
I didn’t really like the taste, I only ate a couple, I normally have Barrett’s or Haribo, or Amazon liquorice, but I thought I would try these for a change, many other people have bought these, I think I’m just used to other liquorice!
