NO DRILLING OR CUTTING IS NECESSARY! FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!
These fit perfectly on my 2001 F250 Super Duty diesel crew cab. The trick is to read all the instructions first. Each bracket is stamped DF for driver front, DR for driver rear, PF and so forth. No drilling is necessary AT ALL. Fit all your brackets and bolts in place VERY LOOSELY by hand. DO NOT TIGHTEN YET!! This is very important for everything to bolt up properly. Once the step bar bolts are tightened to their brackets, THEN tighten all the bracket bolts. If you follow this procedure, you will not have any trouble installing with wrenches and sockets. Don't be a dummy and make the installation harder on yourself. There are NO SLOTTING OR DRILLING HOLES REQUIRED! If you have to drill or cut anything, you're doing it wrong. Loosen the bolts and start over. Pay attention to the instructions and you'll be fine. It took me about an hour between prepping bolts and brackets and checking positions and then installing. They look great and work even better. Great purchase.

Great Value
You get what you pay for. They’re really nice for the price but it might be worth spending a little extra on some nicer and sturdier running boards. This was easy to install, and looks really good on my ‘12 f250 super crew. It wobbles a little bit when I step on the boards though. We’ll see how long they last. If they break I’ll probably fork over more money to get quality boards. Overall, really nice and I’m happy with the value.

Work as intended for my use.
Bought them for a Ford F-250 super duty. Very easy to install. They could use a third attachment point for looks but they seem to hold up to my 350 pounds. I bought them for function not “fluff” and they perform well. One note: keep the painted.

A lengthy but thorough review.I have been looking for some nerf bars for my 2000 Ford Excursion. Naturally Amazon doesn't consider Alaska part of the USA. However, due to the good reviews, I decided to purchase them. This matters as you will see later on.I had them sent to a relative in what Amazon considers the USA. The relative took them to UPS and sent them before confirming the cost with me. The $150 item cost me $275 to ship (cheapest method). If I would have known this, I would have returned them.A couple of weeks later I received them. The items looked good and sturdy and initially I was happy. I removed the rusted out pos stock side steps and starting mounting the passenger side.I put in the front bracket, no sweat. When I went to the rear bracket, I discovered some bracing was in the way. This bracing was stopping me from mounting the rear bracket. This is where Amazon screwed me. Sure, I took a chance, but I depended on Amazon being accurate. Amazon said it would fit my truck. I knew I had to make this work, or I just wasted $450.Fortunately, there was enough free play for me to move the bracket about an inch away from the bracing. I had to drill three new holes, but was unable to use the fourth bolt. I don't know how much this will affect the overall strength. Fortunately, it fit and seems strong. Time will tell. Also, one of the bolts that attaches the step to the bracket was messed up. Probably, would not have been an issue, but I didn't have access to a tap. It won't on with a little encouragement.

Great inexpensive steps
Definitely great steps, and easy to install. And for a great value. The instructions are a bit vague, but easy to figure out on your own.

Easy
Easy to install! So far they seem to hold up pretty well, little concerned about the fact that it mounts to the outer shell rather then the frame. I weight a little under 250lbs, and it seems to hold up pretty well. Interested to see someone bigger trying to step on them and see how they hold up. All in all pretty solid considering .

Not all holes will line up
Instructions were confusingCould only line up two holes for each bracket. All said once I figured it out installation went well. They seem to be sturdy. Time will tell.
