Very dependable!
All of a sudden my trusty old TV set went kaput and I had to replace it. It took me several days to figure out what brand of tv to purchase but I asked my daughter and my super smart son-in-law to advise me. Their selection was this Samsung tv which I bought and which arrived the next morning. It was quite easy to set up and get going and it is really terrific tv - I sure love it!

Good 4K TV but relies too much on internet
Have been using Samsung TV's since CRT days; just always find that they have the features most suited to my needs. Did not want OLED and that annoying "burn-in" that I see on friend's TV's. QLED and upscaling from 480/720/1080 really is nice. Did not like weak speakers, and use soundbar/subwoofer. Did not like talking remote at all; too many mistakes. Use remote from old Samsung instead. Wish that you could disable Ads! They are almost annoying enough (along with remote) to not recommend this model. I wish that there were more Smart Apps that I could remove/disable. I have to deal with a dozen of them when I only use one. Still haven't found way to "Search" or use keyboard to get to the right NAS files that I want. Annoyed that recent update changed icons so that the highlighted one is less obvious without scrutinizing the screen. Settings are less customizable than previous Samsung TV's. They have been locking down options for the last 4 generations, as I have experienced. Almost didn't even go with Samsung this time because of it. The picture is the best thing about this TV, and reds are actually red, not orange-red!

Love my new TV
Everything is awesome about this tv. I wanted LED to be sure I had good side angle picture. It is great. Smart tv does everything you would expect. You also get Samsung+ which is fun to scan around and pick shows and movies off of. Remote gets you directly to Netflix, Prime, and Disney+. Home button gets you everywhere else. With picture set to Dynamic, sports are as clear and sharp as if you are there.

Tv is beautiful for gaming and streaming, but...
Beautiful picture, smart apps. Great, right? Yet, let's put a rechargeable/ solar remote with it that doesn't work from the start. Besides, how can a solar battery be "better for the environment" when you have to replace the whole remote every 2 years? That's components, plastic, AND rechargeable battery in the landfill as opposed to good, disposable batteries that will last a year (allowing you to keep your remote) and are more reliable. Silly. Another echo sham and now I have to contact Samsung to get a replacement out the box.

Beautiful video, flawed software.
A few complaints about the software. The picture is beautiful and the non-glare surface is effective at eliminating reflections from the windows opposite the TV.(1) I use Apple TV a a streaming device. Unfortunately, while it works to turn the TV off (using CEC), it does not work to turn it on. Apparently the HDMI port powers down after some time and does not respond to the Apple TV power up signal. I’ve done all the recommended settings changes and still no joy. So be prepared to keep two remotes handy if you want to be able to turn it on.(2) The settings screen is amazingly flaky. There are two ways to get to it; from the Home Screen and using the settings button in the remote. Weirdly, the available options differ depending on how you navigate there. For example, some settings icons (like Sound, I think) are disabled with a message “this setting is not available” when accessed through the Home Screen, but not when accessed from the remote settings button. Apparently, they either have ineffective QA or they lack professional Product Management.

A good mid-road television
Finally got up nerve to try to set it up (I'm old, and some new stuff in unclear). Thinner than my previous. Colors are very good, but not quite as sharp as I prefer. Power cord (in my setup) just barely long enough. Online instructions assume certain prior experience, but I got it done. Only current issue (if it starts up ok tomorrow morning) is some channels can't go loud enough to hear (partly my hearing) and even good volume is just "good" not great. Fit into my new router easily, and I can run tv (Spectrum), 3 computers, and new printer at the same time. Much easier than my old one a few years ago, but still has some unclear parts in onscreen setup. Still, if it keeps working, I am happy with it for the price.
