Christmas Magic Painting Book Paperback – October 1, 2015

This was a great way to introduce my 3 yr old grandson to painting gearing up for Christmas. Sitting side by side I showed him how to use the brush and water to make the Christmas storybook pages come alive like magic. He loved it!

LOVE these painting books by Usborne! I wish they made more than just two kinds because my daughter will paint in these for hours. I really like that the color looks so good on the page as opposed to the ones that are made using the dots of paint colors already on the page. The dots never really go away on those. With these you can't even really tell that they are paint with water pictures when they are complete!

Ordered this for our 3 year old for the holidays after she received a Magic Painting Book from the same publisher for her birthday. Lovely illustrations to paint with water. My daughter prefers to use a paintbrush, while my husband and I will use the special pen brush the book comes with, when we sit down to work on this book with her. The book also comes with a back flap to protect the other pages from water soaking through which is great!

Even our 2 year old grandson enjoyed them and painted for a long time in it!

Cute book

This really requires fine motor skills. It is not like the Melissa and Doug water painting where you just paint with water everywhere and the colors appear. The colors bleed across the lines. The way this works, you have to paint within the lines. If you cross the lines, the wrong colors bleed over. So this is really only good for kids who like to paint very detailedly within the lines. I don't know many kids like that. Felt more like an adult coloring book in that regard.

My children absolutely love the usborne painting books. Highly recommend.

Avevo preso questo libro per mia figlia ma ho finito per tenerlo io.È bellissimo ed estremamente rilassante, i colori una volta asciugati sono stupendi! Avrei rispettato di più il tema natalizio, come indicato sulla copertina, ma anche gli altri disegni sono molto belli!Non vedo l'ora di acquistarne altri!

I love this book.it comes with brush attached. Just dip in water and start painting. The pictures and colours are lovely and it's made with good quality paper and cardboard protective sleeve so things don't get too messy. I bought 4 of these for Christmas presents for 4 to 6 year olds and kept on back for myself! This could be the next craze after adult colouring books. Extremely soothing and addictive.
