I considered purchasing, once again, "velvet" alternatives that were a little over twice the price and I ordered these with trepidation. I was initially crestfallen when they arrived in a small plastic package feeling very light-weight. The "velvet" alternative touted themselves as thermal and they had done a great job at blocking heat and cold and weighed a ton. They also had a white lining. The panels you are considering have no lining. They have a ghastly looking shiny sheen backing that I've only seen on budget curtains at Target. The backing is actually the worse part of the whole product, though it might not matter to you and will be minimally noticeable if they face a shaded area. The facing, however, is soft and supple and the customer images of the teal version are very true to life. From an interior view, they look quite tasteful; however, your richer friends will know instantly that they're cheap panels. That being said, the fabric, stitching and the nickel-like grommets themselves are all fairly well constructed. The tag says machine washable. They did arrive very wrinkled, but it's polyester. Deal with it and steam the unsightly creases out. These are NOT blackout curtains. They're simply not, no matter what the description says. They're darkening panels that block about two-thirds of the sun's rays. Thermal? No, not in the sense of my prior more expensive alternatives; however, this purchase will certainly be of some assistance with drafty windows. I had to be budget conscious about my next selection and these met my expectation. They will provide the privacy I need and the soft supple facing with it's traditional textured design doesn't scream the dollar store. The shade of teal is fairly tasteful too (I always think certain shades of color look cheap, but that's subjective. That being said, cheap panels often have what I consider cheap shades of colors and these do not). I'm not so concerned with the panel's blackout capabilities and though they won't completely block the sun's rays, they'll certainly prevent fading and provide a great deal of relief from direct sunlight and will probably be darken a room sufficiently for an afternoon nap. I'm not going to call these luxe or amazing like other reviewers. They're not. If I had more money, I wouldn't have purchased them. These are tasteful, reasonably well-constructed budget panels with some very good qualities that won't scream poverty and a lack taste. The backing, I want to emphasize again, is really terrible. Hopefully the cheap sheen will fade with time. Given my financial constraints, I'm glad I purchased them.

Not as thick as I needed for French doors

The very large curtain came terribly wrinkled. With help from the warm designs people, it now hangs beautifully. I needed a little more curtain, so I bought some 38 x 84 curtains to match. They were not wrinkled. The new curtain rod really couldn’t hold this weight, but I adapted and now the whole big sliding glass door is covered. The hot afternoon sun is blocked and my dining room is cool and inviting. Warm designs staff have been wonderful. They are kind, understanding and answer their messages almost immediately. I’m very happy with this purchase.

This panel is beautiful however I expected the width to be wider. It doesn’t cover my sliding glass door and it was bought for my shortest width sliding door. I am keeping it to put as a single panel on one of my windows. If it wasn’t so beautiful I would return it. That is why I gave it a 4. The price was good, the material was beautiful and blackout but the sizing was bad. In the future I would rather have more for the money than less. You can always use more width than less.

We have a very large picture window and a east facing window that gets full sun. Talk about blinding light!!!Before purchasing these we went through many other trials from Walmart, Costco, and target to no avail.These blue curtains are not only room darkening, the size of the large patio curtains allows for only 2 panels as opposed to 4 panels and the 1 panel does not allow any light to emanate from the east facing window... any vampire would be proud to own these opulent curtains.The fabric itself is a very nice almost matelesse fabric. The lining is blue, not white, and is a satiny fabric. It is not stiff like some room darkening curtains.I have included the before photo with other room darkening curtains. I purchased one panel, to make sure I would like the color, texture, and design of these curtains. I love them! So I will be making additional purchases for two more windows.I purchased the TEAL color. Some people have responded that the color is closer to blue than teal. I think it's a borderline color that is somewhat objective. The in-person color very closely matches the on-screen representation (at least from my screen). But keep in mind that every monitor portrays colors a little bit different. This "teal" is more blue than green — if that is helpful to anyone.There is a texture/sheen design to the curtains, which is especially nice. The design appears exactly as the pictures portray. The quality of workmanship is really nice. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Drapery product indicates “ total blackout “. However lights does come through drapery. Therefore NOT as advertised
