Short form: If you are looking for a nice phone mount for using your phone camera as a camera, this works well, is easy to use, and the price is very reasonable. It has a lot of good features and is made so whether you are planning to put your phone on a tripod or gimbal this should hold it securely.Longer:I've owned a number of SmallRig products over the years and I have never been disappointed. When I'm buying photo and video gear, I always check to see what SmallRig offers first because I know what they make will be useful and high quality. This phone holder is no exception. Good materials, good craftsmanship.It fits every arca swiss base I've tested, it holds the phone securely with spring tension only - no manual locks or tension adjustments. The phone holder has padding on the jaws so it is less likely to slip or damage the phone. There are 1/4-20 holes in sensible locations, a cold shoe on one side of the phone holder.The mount allows the phone to be oriented vertically or horizontally and includes detents to help the phone snap into the correct orientation. The hinges have enough friction that it doesn't seem to sag due to gravity in normal use, without having so much friction that it's impossible to adjust. It's also sized correctly to clip into a gimbal designed for a mirrorless camera, giving you extra versatility. I've tried it with a couple of gimbals and it worked for both with a bit of adjustment. I don't have a DJI RS Mini gimbal so I can't verify that specifically.The holder balances well enough that you can use it as a desktop phone holder as well, but the grip is a bit excessive for that application so you probably won't actually use it that way for long.

Works but has to be mounted direct to the RS4 mini, not the slide plate. and also has to be tilted upside down.

This is a solidly built phone mount. As usual, this is great quality from Small Rig.This is large enough for my iPhone ProMax. I’ve paired it with my tripod, and the arca Swiss mount works fine. There’s a 1/4” screw mount if you have other accessories to connect to your phone (light, microphone, etc).It swivels just fine, and is heavier than you’d think. It fits my needs for recording and pictures for both landscape and portrait mode.Overall it’s a bit pricey for a mount, but it’s great for what it does and built really well.Id recommend this to anyone that’s using their phone for media purposes.

It's simple and high quality like all of Smallrigs products, but I'm surprised there's no adjustment on the tightness for the pivot points. If the mount is going to experience any kind of motion, it's going to wear down over time and you'll have no way to keep it pointed where you want it to be.

I've made no qualms about coming down on Smallrig for small mistakes in the past, and this is exactly why. Because this is a classic example of what I know Smallrig is Capable of. Tolerances are decently tight, fittings are exactly where they should be, and the overall design is well thought out and well put together. This is Smallrig at their best, and it is what I know they are fully capable of made manifest. I like this company, I've picked up a lot of their stuff in the past, and this feels very much like a return to form for them, just a solidly built piece of kit with all the polish I have come to expect from the company.

SmallRig always puts out solid products! I own a ton of their products. This phone mount is so versatile. You can easily change from horizontal to vertical without any need to loosen and tighten anything. The multiple 1/4"x20 thread openings, as well as the cold shoe mount, also contribute to the versatility. My iPhone is held very secure in this mount. Super easy to use. I highly recommend. At a price of $26.99, it is a great deal.

The media could not be loaded. This is probably the best cell phone clamp mount I have seen.To be fair, most of the other ones I've seen are included as an add-on for some other product such as a tripod or selfie stick, and sometimes the entire package costs less than this SmallRig one.Almost100% aluminum, it has a 1/4-20 mounting socket on the bottom, but the main attachment method is the Arca-Swiss Plate , designed to work with DJI Ronen mini stabilizers or some tripod heads.The spring clamp is 60mm retracted, and goes up to 99mm when extended. I have a small rubber case around my phone and there was plenty of overhang in the "C grip" arms to hold the phone inside the case.The phone clamp can rotate 180 degrees to change orientation, and there are two pivot points with an arm so that the phone could be rotated around the horizontal axis to point forward or backwards (as well as tilts anywhere in between). There is no rotation around the vertical axis, that would have to be provided by your tripod or mount. Each of the rotating axis have heavy friction, so it's not easy to rotate/position the phone, but once you set it in a position, the phone won't move.There is a cold shoe mount point on one end of the clamp you can use to add a light or microphone accessory. The arm between the two pivots has 4 1/4-20 holes which may also be useful for adding small accessories (but those accessories may interfere with the motion of the clamp depending upon size).
