Primos Hunting Power Hawk Call

Hi this is good to use.

I recently got into calling crows, and wanted to interact with the local owl populations, so I bought this call. That was my frame of reference, extreme success at interacting with curious crows, and wanting some of the same fun with the owls.The thing is, owl calls are more detailed and complex and the call does not go as far as a crow call to making you sound like the bird itself. Additionally, there are such a wide variety of owlsongs compared to crows. I had to do a lot more compared to a crow call to get this to work right.I have spent a lot of time listening to local owls and owls on youtube and learning to copy their calls. I'm still not good at the trills and warbles at the end of a longer owlsong. I don't know if that will eventually come from hand motions or something I will learn to do with my mouth. Time and more practice will tell.However, sometimes I can go out at night and start calling into a quiet evening and get an owl to respond, which is very cool.

Hard to get the correct sound and not as loud as the owl hooter. Will sound like a duck if not using correctly.

It's not horrible but doesn't really sound like a hawk to me. This one is just a high pitched whistle to me.

2nd one still Doesn’t work. Replace 1st one because it didn’t work. Second one they sent no different. Not sure who Primos is letting sell or put together there calls but they need to pull them off this site. They don’t work or they never arrive. Always have to cancel. I’ll take the 13.00 loss cost that much in gas to drop off at UPS. WANT PURCHASE ANOTHER. THATS FOR SURE. a lot of other good calls out there that work and get delivered on time

As far as quality, it's Primos period. A company that caters to a consumer with very high expectations doesn't get as big as Primos by producing junk.

I ordered Primos Power Hawk #352. I was worried about how difficult it would be to mimic a hawk cry but nailed it right out of the box.We had very nice weather here today and I was able to scout out an area with some hawks today. Providing there is good weather tomorrow I will come back and update once I test in the field.So far so good, this simple whistle unlocks ours of learning and fun to explore.

Great price. Sounds like an owl. Just remember to cup your hands.

Not very good product. Had a cheaper one that broke and it worked better then this one

Pretty durable. Your very simple, basic hawk call. Can be blown very loud but can not be toned down very much at all! Good for windy days. Will fit in your pocket. Comes with a metal lanyard ring.

You have to be good with it to make it sounds like an owl. It's sounds more like a doe
