Great purchase!
The band and support are comfortable and stay put. It moves along with me great, no bounce. I wish it was a 2 L but that would take up more space! Still room for small snacks and my extra socks. So far have taken it on two 7ish mike hikes and love it!

Works well
I use this for hiking. I can speak to it for bike riding, running, etc. For hiking I think it works quite well. Its the right size and holds a liter to a liter and a half of water in a well balanced manner. There's enough room left in the pack for a sandwich or a light piece of clothing, etc.You need a place to clip the hose and the solution they provide sucks. I purchased camelbak's magnetic clip and it works great but they should throw it in for free or provide an alternative solution that is better than what it comes with. Someone complained about closure of the bladder and also about the belt staying on. The bladder is slightly tricky to close but easy once you get the hang of it and I had no issue with belt slippage.Overall, a well made product at a good size. It could perhaps be a bit cheaper and have a better hose/clip solution included, but if you're looking for a bladder fanny pack for hiking, this is the best I've seen

He loved it when he opened it as it is something ...
I bought this for my dad who really didn't want anything for Christmas. He loved it when he opened it as it is something you don't think you need until you have it. Him and my mom love to take trips to national parks and I always see them holding water bottles. I thought this would be great to have their hand free while they hike.

Great Comfortable Support
Retired husband calls this his "man purse".(His last CamelBak lasted over 5 years) Just wanted to share......Although it is not meant to be used this way....He removes the water reservoir and uses it as a luxury fanny pack.(great support) This allows him to carry his wallet, sunglasses, dog's water/ball/treats and other incidentals while on his daliy walks/hikes. He will not leave home without it.lol

Clip broke too quickly and mouthpiece sits at odd angle.
I really want to like this waist pack. It's got some good features - the bladder and pack seem well-made and practical. But the clip that attaches the hose to your clothing broke into pieces after a few weeks of minimal use. I'm not even sure how it happened; I don't remember any pressure being put on it. But even when it was working, the hose dangled far enough from my mouth, and always at an awkward angle that it was somewhat impractical to use and would sometimes get in the way. I used it for outrigger paddling where it is very helpful to be able to get a drink quickly with minimal help from my hands. But it seems I'll have to go back to a water bottle which seems to sacrifice about the same number of strokes. Perhaps there is a way to rig the mouthpiece to work better, but I haven't found any way yet...Let me know if anyone has a better alternative! lol!

Camelbak stands by its warranty!
I originally gave this a two star review because, while I loved the waist pack, the reservoir began to leak through the cap seal after less than a year. I changed the bad review because, even though I stopped using the product and forgot about it, when I called to replace the broken bladder, they immediately sent me a new one without any questions! They no longer carry the exact reservoir that came with the original, and maybe the new one is improved. If it remains leak-free, I'll come back and give it 5 stars because I love everything else about the pack. From reading other reviews, I noticed that a handful of users reported leaky reservoirs, but the vast majority of buyers seem very happy.

Water balloons would provide more dependable hydration
I bought this to replace a previous version whose bladder had prematurely begun leaking at a seam. Given the multitude of complaints about the previous version, I was hoping Camelbak had made some improvements. They haven’t. The most immediate flaws on the pack that have persisted for at least two generations are: The belt will not stay tight. This could be remedied with slides, velcro, etc, but Camelbak has not bothered. Despite the photo, there is still only a single hose clip on the right side of the pack. Assuming one does not wish to use the supplied modified paperclip that is meant to contain the hose and which will be lost after about 2 uses anyway, that leaves the user figuring out something to do with the dangling ~2 feet of hose. The new (to me) Crux bladder is a nightmare to use. Camelbak has re-engineered the threads such that the cap will appear to twist on tightly from any alignment of the cap relative to the bladder opening. After a half turn or so, the cap makes a satisfying hard stop. Unfortunately, the moment you lift up the bladder, more often than not half the contents will spill out. There is absolutely no seal. After about 1/2 hour of experimenting, I could get the cap to seal approximately once per dozen attempts.I was willing to put up with the flaws in pack design. But a bladder that is designed not to seal properly is beyond worthless. I returned this, and despite having used Camelbak products for about 20 years, will not be buying another.
