Excellent combination of heads, good for travel
Great shaver. A little disappointed in the beard and nose hair trimmer heads. I have a separate older model Phillips Norelco hair/beard trimmer that works great. Same for a separate nose hair trimmer (different manufacturer, but cheap). The other heads on this model work well enough that I will just take those for travel rather than bringing 3 devices, but not well enough to use instead of them for routine use at home. But all the heads will fit in the case which isn’t too bulky for me for travel as with some other models. So, a very good compromise. I haven’t used the head cleaner yet, but not too worried about that since my old model P-N SensoTouch 3D didn’t have a cleaner option and I’ve never replaced the heads. This new model has a better shave and I like both the quick charge option if needed as well as the battery life indicator.

A great shave with integrated training
It's a great product although a bit of an over kill. It's the first shaver I used that gives feedback on executing the shave. It's also connected. I can get reports on my shave processing in real time by the light on phone application. I believe that it's worth the price. My previous Philips shaver lasted me about15 years and I expect similar performance from this one. The only down-side is the number of components and options.

Best electric shaver I've used
After decades, I finally bought a premium shaver, upgraded from my Panasonic Arc 4. I did extensive research as the most important thing was a decent shaver with little to no irritation. *first time rotary shaver userThe first shave, I got irritation on my neck area so was worried and debating whether to return it or not. After the 2nd and 3rd try of a dry shave 1 hour after taking a shower, no irritation and a clean shave though I had to repeat some areas. So far, tested up to a 7 day beard.If you get past the learning curve of proper rotation and pressure, guided by lights, you won't be disappointed. 10/10, I'd get again if on sale. Hopefully it'll last for years.Note, I do wish the trimmer wasn't a separate attachment. Tedious in 2025.

Bye bye 5 o'clock shadow!
First! I DID NOT receive the correct razor package. And it was DEFINITELY not new, but opened box. I did contact Amazon, but they declined to refund the $30 price difference between models and didn't compensate for the used condition.That being said, this razor is truly awesome. Close, comfortable shaves. Easy to use and adjust. My first shave with this razor was an absolute failure. It was because I did not read the hints and tips and follow the colors on the shaving head. If you are coming from, let's say a Braun razor, a rotary requires a different shaving motion. Side to side vice up and down. Once you master that along with the correct pressure, the shave is close, comfortable and most importantly lasting. I have checked daily and as the day progresses, I have no 5 o'clock shadow. Just as close as it was at 6am. Highly recommend this razor. Even at the steep cost.

Very bad customer service by Phillips
The one star pertains to the horrible customer service from Phillips. I first ordered the XP9402/86 which comes with a cleaning pod. The pod stopped working in less than a week. I called Phillips. They would not replace the pod and said I needed to buy a new one. I sent the shaver back to Amazon fir a refund since I was still within the return period. I then got the XP9400/89 with the UV sanitizer. The sanitizer won’t charge beyond 29% despite being plugged in for days. It had about 29% when it arrived. I again contacted Phillips. They claim I need to contact Amazon. Amazon refunded me some money but I’m keeping the shaver because I really like it. For me it’s much better than the foil shavers fro Braun and Panasonic. But it gets one star due to the completely unacceptable customer service.

Shaves almost as close as a razor, has everything you need
Complete product with cleaning pod and charging stand. The app is ok, I think it is too critical when it comes to shaving pressure. Love the cleaning pod, although there is no need to use the pod after every use. I usually brush out the stubble and rinse the shaving head from the top. Use the cleaning pod once a week.

Worth it.
An excellent product which suffers from inadequate explanation of the rings colors and their significance. It's relatively silent, and the settings prevent irritation. Blades are sharp.

Great product / poorly planned launch
I bought the Norelco XP9400/89 directly from Norelco because they offered a 15% off promo. Their bundle did not include the new style quick clean pod, but I already had the previous all-black version, and they are interchangeable.Pros:1 - The shaver does an amazing job giving me a close shave.2 - The shaver is quiet and has great build quality.3 - The quick clean pod is well designed and works well. At least the older all-black style one that you can easily find right now. Fortunately, the pods are interchangeable.Cons:1 - The shaver has buggy software. It doesn't impact the shave, but it impacts stuff like the blade life-left reading or the alert to change your quick clean pod cartridge.2 - The redesigned quick clean pod launch was botched. These items are simple plastic and sell for between $25-40. There's no reason that the redesigned one should be impossible to find outside of a few select shaver bundles on Amazon. The scarcity is absurd, but as previously mentioned, you can just use the all-black version. It's cheap, sold everywhere, and interchangeable.3 - The 7-year extended warranty registration is gimmicky. You need to make sure that you fill out their form just right and file away the email, your receipt, and confirm the registration in your Philips.com account. The real reason behind it is to advertise a 7-year warranty, but then only offer a 2-year to anyone who makes the slightest mistake in the registration process.Beautiful high-quality product, great end result, but product launch was not well planned.
