Excellent value and performance!
Excellent value in works great. I have arthritis in my shoulder and was having a hard time throwing the tennis ball to the dog, but this device allows me to use almost all my energy and my wrist and forearm and my shoulder is doing much better and the ball is going huge distance longer than before!

Must-Have for Dog Owners (Whow have dogs that like to fetch)
Soon as this launcher arrived I went outside with the dogs to try it out. Long story short: This is a great fetch toy. I am able to launch the ball pretty far with little to no effort, and picking the ball back up is as easy as grabbing it with my own hand. The toy itself is very sturdy, so much so this is the only fetch-toy I'll ever have to buy. Considering how durable it is, I don't think I'll ever need to buy a replacement. I believe Chuck-It is the most popular option, and because this is the first fetch-toy I purchased, I can't really compare it to anything else. A few outlier reviews said the ball was difficult to launch, and I have to disagree. It has been so easy to use I can't possibly see what the problem is. And no, upper body strength is not a factor as I virtually have none. People can get great distance (Half the length of a football field by my eye) in one simple, easy motion. And if other products can launch the ball farther, so what? How far is far enough? Is your dog going to throw a fit because it went 40 meters instead of 50? No. They will not. For anyone upset this toy doesn't launch far enough, ask yourself this: Is the toy for their dog? Or the human who bought it?The bottom line is this: It feels like it's built to last, it's inexpensive, and it does what it is supposed to do. So long as a toy is "good enough" I don't see the point in splitting hairs and trying to determine which fetch toy is the absolute best.Saying it's good enough is a bit misleading though. I can't imagine how a dog toy like this could be any better. It's a must-have for any dog owner. Unfortunately, only one of my pups likes to fetch...

Our Dog Loves This Ball Thrower So Much
Works excellent for dogs that like to fetch! Our family dog loves this toy. He will bark and jump as soon as he sees us pick it up. The dog next door to us gets excited when he sees us play with our dog with this dog ball thrower. Its that good for dogs who love to fetch and run. Perfect for the young and elderly to play fetch with a pet dog. If you have back or shoulder problems works very well. You don't have to bend down and pick up a slobbery ball. Nope you use this to pick up, grip up and grab the ball. Wish every dog could have this ball thrower in their lives. It has changed the way we play fetch with our dog.

It's good for most dogs. Doesn't throw as far as some launchers. My Malinois needed further throws.
I have a Belgian Malinois who is a high energy, high endurance, high prey drive fetching fool. She begs and whines and pleads to go play fetch. And she wants the long-toss fetch with a tennis-ball size ball. I can throw it about 50 yards on the fly with this. With the Chuck-It 25M launcher I can throw 70 yards on the fly. With the Petco launcher, which has extra ball storage on the bottom of the handle, I can throw 75 yards. If you have a "normal" fetching dog, say a Lab or a Golden Retriever, I'd expect this launcher is totally fine and will be a good choice. If you have a Belgian Malinois like me, or perhaps a Border Collie, or maybe an Australian Cattle dog, who loves to fetch and can run all day, I'd go with one of the other launchers. For my Malinois, the Petco launcher can carry two balls, which is great, because I have to play fetch with two balls, or two frisbees, for fetch to work. If I try to play fetch with her with just one ball or frisbee, it turns into "fetch-keep-away". She fetches alright, brings it to me, but then won't release the ball and will instead try to play keep-away. If she sees I already have the NEXT ball in the launcher and ready to throw, she'll drop the first ball at my feet and prepare to go fetch the NEXT ball, which I then throw. I usually have her on a "pitch count" of 15 throws, to avoid overdoing it, growth plates and such. So, she gets about 1 mile of sprinting after the ball, and 1 mile of trotting/loping back. And she's fully exercised and happy for 3 or 4 hours. Then she begs me to play frisbee catch. Then in the evening, it's more long-toss fetch, another 10-15 throws. And in between it's Malinois + Alligator = "Maligator" and we do "Maligator fishing", with a heavy duty flirt pole that she chases and jumps at, and when she catches it, then it's tug-of war to-the-death. And the stinker is very strong. I had to custom-make an extra-heavy-duty flirt pole for her. Then, she is finally tired out for the day, and will relax and chill. Sort of.Anyway, if your dog doesn't have extreme exercise needs like my Belgian Malinois, you'll probably be very happy with this launcher, and the shorter throw distance, for your dog, will be a "feature" rather than a shortcoming.

Works Like a Charm!
WoW!! This thing is pretty cool! It can pick the ball up off the ground - and with little effort - It can throw the ball 3X Higher and Further than I ever could! It wont hurt my elbow or wrist ( way better than before when I was wearing myself out ) I don’t know how I ever got along without it!! It's a must have if your dog loves playing ball. :-)Update: I've had this For 7 Months Now- it looks and works Great just like the day I bought it- Thumbs up!

Does not work as well as I thought it should
You can not put full force of throw. if you do ball will just slip out and go about 10 feet. You have to do more a flip motion with your wrist to get any distance. I can throw the ball farther with my hand than i can with this launcher. But by hand does take more effort.
